When we start thinking about other results and where we are in the table we literally take our eye off the ball, judging by some of the passing the other night. Big game, must win, but must also bury the Wolves result.
I do think some of the passing was down to energy levels dipping, physically and mentally. Let's hope they've managed to reenergise and refocus.

The title talk does make me nervous cause as we do seem to slip up when a chance is presented. This time I just think tiredness came into play.

It wasn’t that long ago that 4th place was our kryptonite. Every time it was in reach we buckled. And despite us spending just a small time in 2nd it’s top spot that appears to be just out of our grasp now over the last 4 years. It’s frustrating but we can’t deny the progress.

Yeah, its definitively frustrating. We are so close and an extra push is all that's needed. Like you say, we need to remember how it used to be and how far we've come.

I don't think we'd have lost that game had Dembele Dier/Wanyama been on hand, we'd have controlled the game Im sure.

It’s going to be a harder step to take to get to the top than it is to get to fourth. Sovereign blood money would probably help us, but barring that it’s going to a very difficult - though not impossible - task.

I waited 20 years to get top 7, patience is my thing. I think we just have to persevere. Our approach works. We’ve really been unlucky that teams like City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester have put in some of their best runs in recent years. We’ve been the consistent ones but we haven’t really stagnated. Money might help but we could pick up a Cantona or Asprilla, there’s no guarantees on how it would work out.

I think it’ll be a tough afternoon. Of course, under normal circumstances we would destroy them, but the reason I believe we lost to Wolves was the amount of games (every 2/3 days), and the high intensity of our play, we were simply spent. Well here we are playing again 3 days later.

Just hope that Poch is a bit more positive with using subs today if we need them, it was clear as anything that we were struggling 2nd half against Wolves but the reaction from Poch a bit disappointing.

Cardiff should be worried. I wouldn't want to play spurs after that humiliation. If the lads aren't pumped to prove they don't deserve the chokers and spursy titles they need to come out locked cocked and ready to roll. Spurs to win 3-1.

Let's cock on spurs.

Warnock has done his usual in the press in the run up to this game. If it's anything like the game at Wembley then it'll be a slog, throw in the fanatical home support and it'll be a tough trip.

Early goal(s) are the key.

Must have a good first half.

Said the same pre Wolves.

Let's get back into the swing of things.
