That was the most tense game I can remember for a long time and to be honest I only enjoyed four minutes of it, the first two and the last two. The win was enormous and will just feed our players' belief in themselves even more. I keep playing this vision in my head of Arsenal and Chelsea fans from the 87th minute to the 89th minute it is delicious.

So people are actually getting angry about something they have zero context for?
Blimey.
From where I was it looked like Dier was genuinely excited at the chance that after everything, Vinny could come on and score a much needed winner.

I think it was pure coincidence - Dier’s engaging with someone else on the bench who’s said something funny and VJ just happens to be getting ready to come on

Ajax will come to play and will get slapped for it. We wont underestimate them like Real and Juve did

Remember no son or kane. You still could be right but it's going to be nervy as hell. From what I can tell we might actually get some joy from lumping it up to Llorente. Apparently their full backs could be got at.

Relegation would not be harsh on them. Nothing in the known universe would be. I've genuinely never seen such negativity, typically a bus park job would at least involve an out ball.

I know that was heat of the moment stuff but they are a nice team in my opinion. They've perfected the art of defending in this game and really have a good organisation to them. This is a proper test for a team like ours to see if we have enough tools to unlock it. It teaches us a lot about how good we are going forward to play them. They timewaste out of desperation as they know they are outclassed, you can't blame them for it. They don't do it against teams of equal standing as they try to play then. Thats the way the premier league is and there's no changing it. Any team that gets promoted into the league will be doing the same next year but most have less class than Chris Hughtons team.

Last night was my first visit to the new place as it's the first time I was lucky enough to get tickets. I was beaming with pride and awe when I got my first real glimpse of the pitch and stands as I sat down and took a moment to look around and savour it all.

I know it's completely illogical but I felt a real sense of responsibility not to be a jinx that saw us fail to register our first win there in a full competitive game. Like many I was concerned that Brighton would replicate their backs to the wall performance as they did days earlier, and the strange set of results that saw Arsenal and Chelsea fail to win their games continue with us, as Brighton did their best to replicate what Burnley did to Chelsea 24 hours earlier and what Burnley very nearly did to us at Wembley earlier this season with their slow down stop start time wasting and putting 10 men behind the ball.

As we failed time and time again to unpick the lock it was fitting that it was going to take a shot like that to finally break them down. I had two sides playing through my head throughout the game, the negative half of me was playing through all the scenarios that would happen if we dropped points here and Arsenal and Man Utd suddenly capitalised on it against the odds 24 hours down the line. The positive half of me was taking the words of the two blokes sat next to me on my my immediate right who kept saying quietly "the goal's coming , it's coming ." I clung on to that belief as my last refuge as the game worn on and on and the clock ticked down.

Others in the north / Paxton stand must have seen and heard it but did anyone else see and hear Hugo turn around to all of us in that end and shout "come on" and he urged us to sing up about 5 minutes before Eriksen's wonder strike. It was as if he also knew that we had run out of ideas and the team needed us desperately to transfer the inspiration onto our players as the 12th member of the team by roaring us on. I loved that moment and really appreciated that Hugo did that. Then the goal finally came. What elation and relief as the ball hit the back of that net. I embraced my partner, who I will confess is a Spammer and I had to accompany her to the West Ham v Leicester game under cover in exchange for this. I have also been lucky enough to get tickets for the game this Saturday. My other half says she always hates us going to these games together whether it's home or away as one of us usually ends up gutted at the expense of the other. She's not the type of Spammer who feels extreme hatred towards us that spills out into utter bile, envy and prejudice and there are plenty of them that I know, as she has a soft spot for us and cheers when we score and genuinely back us in games that don't involve us against one another although I suspect it's for me. That said although she won't be wearing her colours on Saturday in the South stand and Park Lane end for obvious reasons she lets me know in no uncertain terms where her loyalties lie when we cross swords, and on Saturday it won't be with us.

Llorente didn’t have a good game yesterday but it was mainly because their goal area was packed, for most of the match, by almost all their players (and some of ours) and it was difficult for Llorente because of his lack of agility in tight spaces to react quick enough.

We always try to employ Nando in the same way we use Kane, and expect him to be able to do the same things. Rather than use him as what he is, a target man. So weird.

I get we play an Argentinian style, but sometimes a bit of good old "hit it to the big man" helps.

Even Louise thought so and she is not much cleverer
This is what really frustrated me about Lucas Moura tonight, he was totally averse to taking on and committing his defender. He has the skill, balance and acceleration from a standing start but for whatever reason he just didn’t take his man on

He certainly wasn’t alone in his passive play, but he has the skill set to do it more so than anyone else out there
I think the presence of Llorente cramps Moura’s and Son’s style. Neither of them can start centrally and then run the channels when he is playing, like Moura did particularly well against Huddersfield. It also prevents Dele from making those runs from deep into the area because Llorente is occupying the space. Tactically it’s not Llorente’s fault and don’t want to criticise him too much seeing as he helped us into the CL semis but he did very little last night to warrant being in the side. If I had been Pochettino when we struggling to create in the second half, I would have rested Rose, pushed Jan to LB/LWB and brought on Davies to play in back two. Jan’s delivery is so much better than Rose’s. Also tell Trippier to get it in the box at every available opportunity instead of tip tapping it sideways and backwards all the time. If Llorente is in the side you have to play to his strengths. With Jan and Trippier supplying the width Moura and Sonny boy could then drop in behind Llorente looking to shoot from the second ball/knock downs. Both have got blistering shots. But hey what do I know cos we won!

Probably trying to avoid injury - when he's tried this in the past he just gets taken out.

Think last nights was more frustrating/tense because we were struggling to put the ball in the net & too many of our attacking players simply couldn't keep the ball & were too easily knocked off the ball.
