Why do people keep going back to the past to try and make a point? It was a different era, different manager, different mentality and different players. We now play to the end, the players have grade 1 steel running through their veins and they have a never say die attitude. We play a much better style of football, so much more flexible in what they can do. COYS
Because of the culture maintained in the general football landscape. "Tottenham will always let you down".

Why aren't we shouting the fact that we won the double in 1961, so therefore we can do it again. Thats culture and Tottenham never let us down then.

Agreed. Unfortunately many people aren't aware that football existed before the 1992/93 season and our own fanbase is poor at pushing back against the narrative, with many even buying into it. Even now we've been one of the best teams in the country for a few seasons when we lose a game or two it's not a blip, it's "Spursy".

Dortmund drew 0-0 with the side bottom of the league last night. It was their fifth consecutive game without a win in all competitions.

and 2nd game where they have failed to sore.. They also had thew game stopped due to the fans throwing black tennis balls on the pitch:)

Is that a thing? Why black? Can you buy black Tennis balls? Have they taken the time to dye the balls first? What does it mean?

They were briefly talking about this on H&J today on talksport. They reckon they might get them specifically made black as opposed to dying them.

Any idea why?

Is it like Madrid's white hankies?

Ah okay...

But yes also, why black tennis balls?
They said black is associated with Nurnberg's colours. Whether that's the reason or whether they were just speculating IDK.

If any German football experts on here can confirm or deny that would be great.

Maybe they’ll write off the second leg if things get even tighter at the top of the league?
