lol, No!

I give Zoko a lot of stick but I know he has his fans so when he plays I try to watch him very closely.

Thought he was awful first half today. Stifled creativity, continually passed it backwards and left teammates in vulnerable positions with short hard sideways passes to them in tight spots. Tackled badly and positionally left some big holes in the middle of the pitch.

Second half I thought he improved. He seemed to calm down more and was'nt so anxious to get rid of the ball. In addition he provided some cover for the back for and seemed to tighten things up a bit. Amazingly possibly his first forward pass in a Spurs shirt turned into somethin...he should try passing forward more often.

All in all he redeemed himself second half but he is still a painful limited mediocre footballer to me.

Thudd is starting to really impress me and I feel he will just get better and better so Id really like to see us continue with Thudd and Jenas as our midfield two with Modric taking on the free role. I think that works very well.

and it was all going so well up until that point!

Hudd had a stinker today, giving away needless fouls, so slow and cumbersome around the pitch.

We definitely need a top class midfielder at some stage, we've been going too long without one. Someone who will get stuck in, break up the play.
O'Hara has the potential [cue an, "and it was all going so well" post] bcos he is lively and gets in peoples faces. He really needs to be taught how to play that position, and to cut out some of the needless fouling and just steaming straight into players, and easily being side stepped. His passing has shown potential but needs a bit of work. I think he has the raw materials to be turned into a great player. If Hudd can work on his pace and be taught to go in for tackles then he too could be, but I just think that, making a player quicker is a lot harder

Edit: that is, if we don't just go out and buy one

Yeah what he said. I thought it was Bentley's shot, saved by reina and turned back in by Bent for Pav to slot in??????

We were luckey again today, Liverpool hit the post/crossbar 3 times, and on another day they could have gone in. We haven't cut out all the silly errors yet but the main thing is the points just now.

Well done 'arry and the lads today, didn't give up and got the 3 points.

Even had a gooner surporting us today! felt strange that it was just me and him jumping up when we scored :D

Zokora's job today was to keep Gerard quiet, which he did relatively well. Any combination of our mids was always going to look bad against Alonso and Gerrard. what success we did have in the middle defensively was down to Zokora. Hudd is such a liability defensively - it's almost comical watching the opposition sidestep his weak challenges. Add DM to wish list for January.

To be fair having gerrard hit the bar and the post is hardly being kept quiet. But I do agree that most midfields would look crap next to theirs

A draw against Chelsea and Arsenal away are not regular occurences and an overdue home win against a rampant and previously unbeaten Liverpool are great results, the lesser teams are a worry but hopefuully we can pick up some momentum from the new manager bounce effect.

one of those chances was a gift from Gomes. Gerrard hardly wreaked havoc, either.
