Tottenham will turn down the chance to sign former Juventus forward Paulo Dybala due to his massive wage demands. The Argentine, who leaves Juventus this summer after seven years at the club, had put the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester United on alert by hinting that he was keen on a move to the Premier League.

Thats just plain greed, surely no club in the Premiership will pay him that, (at least I hope they wont).

I’d take it with a pinch of salt being ‘The Daily Mail’.
Although if that was the case, I’m sure we could give him a signing on fee that would allow us to reduce his wages in keeping with our pay structure. Especially with it being a free transfer.

Two things, he's never on that much or close to it now, and his agent must be on medication, or at least should be.

I'd imagiine the wage is on top of a signing on fee.
Yep. The reported signing on fee Mbape has received is insane. A wealthy club might think paying the high salary is something they can justify. But the potentially huge signing on fee might make him reliant on the super rich to get him.

I was thinking about this the other day. Has there ever been a player bought on a free then sold for a large transfer fee in the future?

One that comes to mind at the moment is Juve and Pogba, after last time he left Utd on a free :D

He's reportedly on about 80% of that amount now. Wages (and signing bonuses) tend to get inflated for players who are available on a free.
