Good addition to our midfield which is looker stronger and stronger.
Also Dembele to miss 4 games at start of next season, so good start in transfer window - no deadline deals whilst Poch is in charge.

But he is no Dembele though, he isn't going to help us unlock teams that get 10 men behind the ball.

A million more they paid but Wanyama was in the last year of his contract so to get near enough their money back is a great deal for them.

Depends on who they get to replace him and at what cost. With clubs awash with TV money £11m for VW is a steal.

If any of the richer clubs wanted him they could easily outbid us. I bet Levy wanted to pay less than 11 million but just went ahead with the deal for Poch's sake

We do need a magician too. Maybe Alli will become this. Good signing though. Has balls so am 'uncomfortable' with use of word 'snip'.

If that was the reason we bought him you'd have a point, but it isn't, and you don't.
I do have a point as I was countering the point about Dembele. Its not the first time I've seen him touted as some kind of Dembele replacement.

He's a rotation option for Dier. Not really much point in countering an argument that is quite obviously flawed in the first place. There might be instances when Wanyama and Dier play together but we won't be trying to break those teams down, we'll be doing the complete opposite.

I have to agree to disagree a bit here. Where there are important games if Dier is fit I think he will play. We'll see how things pan out.

It's not really a snip that is what he is worth. It would have been dumb to pay 20 million for him.
We could sell for a profit immediately. Last season he would have cost over £20m. Watford just turned down £25 for Troy f***ing Deeney!

Well Leicester have rather dubious finances to say the least. That kind of offer is madness.

Any sweepstakes going for who gets the first red card of the season.
Plenty of candidates now but Victor must be favourite
or Rose, Walker, Alli, Dier, Dembele , Lamela, not necessarily in that order.
Prefer us to go down the class player route rather than the 'well 'ard one.

Never mind. ' Wake up and smell the cappuccino grandad'.
We can outclog them all now. Remember Chelsea,
Spurs proud winners of the Premiership yellow card trophy.
Only nine so leaves us room for something to aim at.
Don't mind me I voted remain.

We need him because we are in the CL, and as we saw last season, the squad we have wasn't even good enough for the Europa League. We need at least an out-and-out striker and a winger/creative midfielder to finalize our squad.
