I really can't fathom how the likes of Barkley, Zaha and Keane are being lauded as improvements and ones that would makes us title winners.

If we are selling bentaleb (£17m), Janssen (£15m), Sissoko (£15m or more if hopefully he gets sold to China), gnk (£8m), wimmer (£8m) and possibly Lamela dependant on the truth of his injury/problems then we need to add quality

Players we should be targeting imho and whilst not easily attainable they are gettable providing we pay the going rate and offer decent wages (£60k+) are:

Julian Brandt (can play lw, am and rw)

Jonathan Tah (dier isn't a cb and we need3 quality cb's, ccv then can be cover).

Serge Gnabry as a plan B to Brandt.

Lacazette would be ideal but bigger clubs are likely to be interested and would he come as a number 2? Unlikely but certainly we should be looking to see if he would come and determining how much.

If not, then how about the lad Southampton have just signed gabbiadini?
Or, seeing if we can get batshuyai from Chelsea (tough I know but if they would sell to us I'm sure he'd be interested to play with his fellow Belgians, stay in London and have a proper opportunity in the PL).
Or left field, Dominic Solanke who's contract is expiring at Chelsea and who we would only probably pay £7m in compensation for and he's got a lot of potential.

5 players out and 3 in would cover wages and probably be nett £20m spend so it is achievable and is more realistic than Isco and better value than £50m on Barkley and Zaha.

This isn't a FM wish list but a look at players to improve us, that we can afford and fit our style of play.

Also German league players have a greater chance of succeeding in the PL due to the similarities of the leagues.

To me, addding Brandt, Tah and a striker would improve us and help us to push on for the title.

Brandt and Ta are heavily rumoured to be going to Bayern and Dortmund respectively...

I haven't seen any rumours of Tah leaving Leverkusen other than being linked to Liverpool and he said he was happy where he was, but he also wants CL football, which Bayer are struggling to get again on current form.

Bayern have bought Sule anyway unless you are linking him to Dortmund.

Brandt has been linked to Bayern but nothing is concrete and as I mentioned, plan B could be Gnabry.

Er, Solanke was not in the same position as those players mentioned and I listed multiple back up strikers before naming Solanke as a left field (e.g. Not first choice) and considerably cheaper back up striker.

But good on you for adding so much to the conservation.

Mmmmm...Have I not read this post somewhere before?
You posted it in the Transfer Wish List. Doesn't really need to be repeated here.

Brandt is probably nailed on to go to bayern, and I haven't seen much of Bremen but to me has gnabry really kicked on that much in one year. He seems to be thriving on the counter. I'd also rather we take a punt on a young dm (there's a ton of them with good physiques and love to break up play) then bring in a cb because that's a more risky position and I still trust Dier there even if a lot of people on sc don't.
Agree the poster ran himself in a circle a bit, but I do hope we don't stop trying to take chances on youngsters in the transfer market, the lack of trust and playing time we've show nkoudou worries me.

Another young player linked to Spurs:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadiem_Amiri

In know, I know....30 seconds of youtube clips is not saying much about him but here they are:

Part of the Nagelsmann revolution at Hoffenheim. Hope they aren't torn apart but can't help but think they'll be financially bullied off the back of this campaign.

Err, it wouldn't highly unlikely as Arsenal have no say in the matter

We would agree on a fee with the tribunal, it would high unlikely as we have players better than him

Did I say that Arsenal would be in the way? :D

Can't remember if we've been linked to him, but I just realised Ben Gibson was left-footed - could be a good replacement for Wimmer if/when he leaves.

He's the one I think we're going to get.

There's three young English CBs who will likely be on the move this summer in Keane, Gibson, and Maguire and I've got a funny feeling we're going to snap up Gibson.

Patrik Schick - 21 - Striker - Sampdoria - Czech Republic

Was mentioned as a prospect to keep an eye out for on BT's European Football Show recently. He's featured mostly from the bench for Sampdoria this season, but has still managed to rack up 7 goals in just 810 minutes, including strikes against Juventus, Roma and Lazio. The 6'2 forward has already been linked with the likes of Juve, Man Utd, Chelsea and Inter.

Starting tonight against Inter Milan (Live 19:45, BT Sport 3)
