Strange to think that a few years ago, people would be apprehensive about bringing in youngsters from France because they play "Inferior Football" and aren't of the right quality. However it is now the hotbed of European talent, looking at the likes of Toulouse, Nice and Monaco, just scraping the surface of the talent that France has available...

Will dominate world football for the next decade

Is that really the case though ? France has been producing and exporting footballers and high quality footballers for a long time, more so than most major nations I'd say from the Platini era etc, Papin, Ginola, Cantona, Desailly, Deschamps, Zidane, Trezeguet, Henry, Vieira, Petit, Thuram, Lizarazou, Wiltord, Blanc....etc etc and the last decade or so they export more footballers than any other country I think.

This depends on where Poch sees Dier playing in the future, but Esiti played like a complete beast yesterday - Wanyama back-up?

I don't think we should be looking at DM's just cause they are a beast. See what I did there? No discussion just shoot down an idea because you can't read contextual clues.

As for Anderson he did very well against us, but being the first time seeing him I do need to watch more. Have you seen him play much?

Calm down bro. If anything, I got you to expand upon why you liked him.

Needs to become more consistent, it seems he has only turned up for Europe this season. He'd definitely should be on the list if we're looking for a backup for Victor.

A player which I would like us to get is Kelechi Iheanacho. He has proven that he is able to score in this league and is still young. I don't reckon he will get many games at City as he's pretty much fallen down the pecking order with them having both Aguero and Gabriel Jesus as quality strikers. Saying that, I don't know how much they'd be willing to sell to us.

There's selling to a rival, and he'll want big wages, probably close to our top earners...

I'm willing to bet on that Aguero leaves in the summer and they keep Jesus and Iheanacho. Aguero isn't going to tolerate being 2nd behind Jesus and plenty of teams would buy him.

it's not like they can't just go out and get someone as good or better (in their opinion).

I think the kid is special personally and would kill it here

Has the physical presence (6ft2) to lead a line, but also has the nimble agility to play out wide, or as a partner to Kane/Vince.

Only drawback is as a Nigeria Int. You have to deal with AFCON every other year

Would go balls out for KI in the summer personally, City surely have to sell some players to balance the FFP??

We are allegedly interested in signing Sead Kolašinac from Schalke, who I believe is a free agent in the summer.
A very consistent left back for a number of years now, very athletic and strong as well for his size.
Has been playing LWB in a back 3/5 sort of system at Schalke this year and has looked very solid. Can also play the LCB role as well, and at 6ft tall he would not look out of place there.
Is 23 at the moment, turns 24 in June, he has told he will not be renewing his contract at the end of the year and will be leaving for nothing, could prove to be a very good CB/LWB backup signing for nothing, a very Levy-type deal...seem to have a decent stand with Schalke, with them having Bentaleb and us with Holtby a few years back.
Would be a great LCB in our system and if Sessegnon looks a little out of his depth initially, Kolašinac will be more than ample in his place.

he's ok, will never surpass rose but i guess he's closer in terms of playing style than davies. i've not seen him play cb though so can't comment there.
