History taken into account, we're the best team in the country. Arsenal for instance shouldn't even be in the top flight, if it wasn't for cheats and dirty tricks.

I know they got to draw that line somewhere but Arsenal won fuck all between 1953-1971 (called 'The Long Sleep') whereas Spurs as we know won the league in 1961, FA Cups in 61 & 62 (not sure if 67 is in the time frame plus of course the ECWC..

Y'all knew I was going to say that didnchas ?

Only club never to have earned the right to top flight football. Finished 7th I think it was in Div2 years back and bought their way in, at our expense I believe. Been there ever since. Not something to be proud of really.

That's all well and good, but the sky article is about average league finishes over 50 years.

Haven't clicked on it but the vibes I'm picking up lead me to believe Sky have finally succeeded in finding a way to put United, Arsenal and Liverpool at the top of the league, bless em.

So the current top 7 haven't changed much on average over fifty years and Villa, Ipswich, Forest & Coventry are in shit...

Another sly dig at Spurs? The best club in the country to have not won the title in that period!! :cautious:
