For the second day in a row, reports out of Italy are linking Tottenham with Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo. As first reported by Calcio Mercato and then by Gazzetta dello Sport, it’s revealed that Spurs may offer Roma Alderweireld plus Moussa Sissoko for Zaniolo.
This would be a straight swap deal without any extra cash incentive.

Sissoko has grown as a player so much over the last year so why would we look to shift him?

Maybe Lamela and Toby, but not Sissoko.

Not got an opinion whether there is truth in this rumour or not,and tbh i wouldn't want it to happen as i think he's a very valuable player to have around, but to answer your question, i suppose there would be some sense in parting with a 30 yr old Sissoko while he was at the top of his form and therefor worth the most amount of money ? Also, and this is just me guessing, NDombele looks a powerful 'ball carrier' and Sissoko is also a powerful ball carrier - would we have two such players in the same XI ?? And after such a good season, if we assume NDombele and Winks are guaranteed midfield starters (in any formation) then would Sissoko be happy as a bench warmer as i can't see how he starts if a) Eriksen stays or b) Lo Celso arrives (given that Dele,Son and Kane also start).

Somebody ( Benjamin Newman 101 Goals) must've got pissed watching the cricket yesterday.

Dumbfuckery of the highest order. I salute the creator of such intelligent abandonment.

Well played.

101 is such a random website - one minute it'll be a really well penned article, the next a headline pops up that's so absurd it doesn't even qualify as click bait.

Can never figure that place out. So I don't bother.

When has a straight swap deal ever actually materialised anyway?

As for the deal, thanks but no thanks. Makes no sense.

I think what we will see this season is a whole load of rotation options being used (unlike last season when there were none) and Sissoko will be a very big part of that. Him driving at tired teams for the last 30 minutes would be the stuff of nightmares. He should start plenty of games too.

You should see some of the figures they're quoting for Toby's Roma wages over there. Different number every article and some as low as 50k euros a week. Utter rubbish.
