Marcus Edwards appears to be on his way out of Tottenham

The youngster has been out of the spotlight for some time, with an unsuccessful loan spell with Norwich at the end of the 2017/18 campaign followed by a more successful one at Dutch Eredivisie side Excelsior last year.

On one hand I'm sad to see him go if he does but on the other I'm happy to see the manager require high standards from all youth players regardless of perceived hype

Was only a matter of time really. We all saw this coming.... good luck to the kid but it's a good thing that the manager has higher standards.

This one is very much in the John Bostock type of disappointment - but closer to realising his potential than Bostock was.

I wonder how Pochettino’s “Messi” comments affected him.

Great shame.
Good luck to the lad and apparently Brentford are interested.

The step up from junior to senior level in the world of sports is the steepest and hardest. Not many "super talents" are able to take it. How many times haven´t we seen young athletes totally dominate in junior levels in their sport, only to fail and wither in the grown up´s world?

And vice versa. You often hear of highly successful players that were repeatedly overlooked as youngsters.
