Spurs identify top striker target; Postecoglou has ‘firm intention’ of signing Jonathan David

Tottenham are reportedly poised to make a move for highly-rated Lille centre-forward Jonathan David in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old signed for the French club from Gent for a fee of €30m (approx. £26m) in the summer of 2020 and he has established himself as one of their most important players.

I hope not, he's not for me. The few games I've seen him in he's seemed very average and in my opinion would struggle in the PL. Probably another Jensen/Soldado. The French league isn't that strong and even Ndombele looked good in it.

They cited a report in Spain. How would anyone in Spain know anything about David and Tottenham? David’s agents are based in Canada. But the people running the agency are of Greek background. Maybe that’s the tiny tiny link?
