Arguably the biggest flashpoint in the game came in the first half, when former Man United keeper Victor Valdes repeatedly shoved his hand in Dele Alli’s face.

FUMING.

Perhaps it's because Sky weren't there to sensationalise the entire situation..

No punishment for Valdes! Don't want to sound paranoid but Howard Webb judged that a straight red card. FA are saying the incident was refereed correctly at the time. How long a ban did Dembele get for a very similar incident, not to mention that there was absolutely no provocation in the Valdez incident. Zero consistency.

Not really bothered too much about it as a suspension for Valdes doesn't affect us at all but if this was the other way around MOTD would've been all over it and Dele would be looking at a 3 game ban now.

Why has nobody responded to my calls and emails??! They said the FA was corrupt and now I see it.

If it was a 'proper eye gouge', Costa would have been injured. There wasn't a mark on him.
I agree and, after last season's Chelsea match, the official line seemed to be that any deliberate hand contact between a player and an opponent's face had to be seen as a red card offence, regardless of whether any actual damage was caused.

Not too fussed as boro are a nothing team, toilet paper of the league.

But would be nice to have some consistency, other way round and alli would've been banned

Doesn't apply to Fabregas though. Or Hazard. Or Costa.

I'm pretty sure a 'proper eye gouge' would've ended Costa's career as a footballer. Unless he's able to play at this level with no depth perception..

I wonder if they'd have paid so little attention had Alli reacted.

Actually I don't, I know EXACTLY how much attention it would have received.
