The Champions League quarter-final is latest in a line of often spine-tingling English derbies in Europe’s top competition.
A new chapter in the colourful history of English teams meeting each other in the Champions League is set to open on Tuesday, when the first European game at Tottenham’s shiny new stadium is bound to generate an atmosphere all of its own.

Those Liverpool vs Arsenal & Chelsea vs Liverpool were totally absorbing affairs, I hope we get something similar yet come out on top.

Think we will rise to the occasion and do them at home. Just not sure about the away fixture.

Was hoping Brighton May tire them out today and drag it into extra time but with City scoring after 3mins it may well be a nice easy stroll to conserve energy

My Gooner mate at work is genuinely convinced City will do us in the league but we'll go through in the CL.

A couple of nights ago I dreamt we beat City in the CL at home by 5-0. I wonder if dreams do come true.

you should be flogged and sent to the guillotine for admitting to having a gooner mate:cautious:

Well I don't get to choose who my **** of a boss employs. Ironically, the Gooner is by far the most likeable, helpful & 'team aware' person I work with.

Really not looking forward to it. City just seem unbeatable.

Good point from Sonny and said respectfully (re: KDB):
Of course [the atmosphere can help]. Maybe the City players don’t realise because they’ve always played at home, but we’ve played away from home for almost two years. We’ve missed our home a lot.

Your Goon mate is only interested in St Tottering and secretly hoping we choke in the league.

Nah he's a rare good-un. Even when we're playing them, he knows I like to avoid all results (because we're working & MOTD is just better if you don't know any results) and he never gives anything away.

Then, at times like our recent match against Liverpool, he came into work the next day & (talking about the 2nd half) said he's never seen such a one sided half with the wrong team losing.

He accepts that we've caught & passed them on and off the pitch now. Puts the blame solely upon Kroenke (no bloody idea if he's to blame).
