Probably the team I least wanted to get. Still, the die is cast and I shall cling onto the fact that we have beaten them in the last 3 seasons and the possibility remains we can do it again. My well and truly crossed fingers failed miserably but that doesn't mean we are automatically out.

Gawd. I knew we were going to get City. Not so bad really though; beat them and we'll have a fantastic chance of actually winning it outright.

I don't really mind that much that we got City. 1) beat them (which I think we'll do), and reaching the semis and playing Ajax or Juventus will be better than winning a domestic cup trophy. 2) Lose, and we wouldn't have won the CL anyway, and can free up resources to fight for the top 4 trophy.
What I do mind is that the entire draw could have been scripted beforehand, that's how self evident it is.

Yes everyone, literally everyone I spoke to before the draw said we've got city. I said no way and I hope not but they were right and those I've seen since just say- told you :-(

Exactly, but also the rest of the draw. Liverpool -> easier fixture, ManUtd got the coolest fixture and with Barcelona, that will the big headliner (more international PR to the competition and to the clubs that are already the biggest), and finally one clash had to be between two English teams.

Lets hope we don't do our usual and play a high back line for Sterling and Sane to get behind!
