Victor Valdes hit Dele today, no yellow card. Watched MOTD and they never mentioned it. I bet he gets a retrospective ban, shameful.

I was also surprised by the omission of that Valdes-Alli incident by the BBC, but not surprised since it is the BBC.

In general I thought we were a lot more dangerous despite not being in our fluent best. I wasn't at all happy at the quality of play in the final third or decision making; too many chances wasted, not enough quality balls played through with the right weight at the right time. I distinctly remember a 4 v 2 in the latter stages of the 2nd half, which just fizzled out & thats criminal at this level, especially since Boro could have unjustly equalised right at the death.

Overall, pleased with the 3 points & a clean sheet, but we need to be more ruthless & decisive if we're to have a hope of winning any trophy.

I really thought that we'd turned a corner, with regards to being more clinical and finishing off sub-standard sides. But it looks like we're back to square one on the evidence of the last two games.

The players played with the right attitude, that's the most important thing. I was worried they'd be feeling sorry for themselves as Chelsea made a huge statement beating Arsenal. No, they played with the right intensity from the start and went for a second as well. The finishing was poor but consistency is a hard thing to find in young players and it will certainly happen to the youngest team in the league.

We got lucky with the chance they missed at the end but none could say we didn't deserve the 3 points.

Man City v Swansea is a repeat of our game v Boro except that the Swans have taken their chance.

We were just poor against Sunderland who just kicked us all match.
Boro? In case you hadn't noticed, have conceded less goals than City, Arsenal and Liverpool. If we beat any of those by a single goal you'd be happy.
