The only way we are signing a striker is if Daniel can get back what he paid for Soldado. Which is unlikely.

I just don't see the point on bony

There may be a point if we're trying to unload Adebayor. I don't know if we are, but it's possible. Personally, I think Bony would be a major upgrade on Adebayor, but that's just my opinion.

Honestly think our priorities should lie elsewhere - LB, CB, LW first.

Surely you don't spend £28m on a striker and simply write him off because he had one poor season in a new league with constant upheaval with managers, systems etc? Or maybe you do.

It's not about writing anyone off.

It's about adding to the squad. With CC/Fa Cup / EL and PL games coming thick and fast three strikers are just not enough especially when one of them is still largely unproven. Bony managed a goal every other game last season and in my opinion is an option that we could afford and would add to the quality of the team.

Shopping list:
GK - Karl Darlow
LB - Ben Davies
CB - Jamaal Lascelles
CM - Morgan Schneiderlin (Sandro sold due to fitness worries)
LW - Jay Rodriguez

Now you can only manage whats in front of you and thats why I disagreed with posts questioning us employing a manager we beat three times the last 2 seasons. But if we are looking to sign several players from Southampton wont those arguements have to be heard again?

We are not looking at signing the entire S'ton team, but only a couple whom management think could improve our squad. As for the manager, when he took over at Southampton, they were staring at relegation, and they ended up what, eighth, ninth? That's a big improvement. Whereas we were promised Champions League, only to be denied three seasons in a row. And our football became dull. So we need to make some changes. Poch may have his critic, but he agreed to come to us, while some others previously in our radar decided to go somewhere else. Many a time, you don't get what you want, but what you can.
That said, if Poch is as good with the players as made out in the press, then we probably don't need the two players mentioned. He only has to make the likes of Chadli, Paulino, Dembele and the likes play to their potential.

Consistency for one. For me, Bony poses much more of a goal threat consistently because he's in or around the box more often than Adebayor, who spends much of his time in midfield helping out with the approach play. He's also far better with his head than Adebayor and is a better striker of the ball. All 'in my opinion' of course.

At this rate Soton & The Swans will be lucky to have a starting XI between them, I see Michu is being linked with Napoli as well....
I honestly don't know where we need to strengthen any more, for years I've thought of certain areas and it's never addressed so I'll just wait and see what happens...and then start moaning.
