Tottenham Hotspur, all things considered, have had a fantastic 2018/19 so far. A number of players have obviously stood out for Spurs along the way, but none more so than Heung-min Son. The South Korean winger has been in excellent form this term having scored 20 in all competitions.

Horrible site, video pop ups which you can't even close and are forced to mute.

Hmm Hazard's had more big moments and has pretty much carried the Chelsea team this season so I can see why he was picked over Son.
That's true. And maybe I'm being biased. My argument would be that Hazard's gone missing a number of times for Chelsea, whereas Son has always put in a shift.

Son had been quiet since returning from the Asian games tbf, he only really stepped up again recently since the Palace match.

He was good when returning from the Asian games, saved us against Watford and Newcastle and also got on the scoresheet against Leicester. It was when Kane came back into the side that his form dropped for a few games.

In fairness I don't think Son's done enough yet to be ahead of the elected candidates

Certainly should've received a nomination. Poor form.

Over who though?

Sorry for delay in response.

Like others, I was thinking Hazard. I don't think there's been alot between them regarding how at times they've had to step up to get the job done.

Maybe the fact that Hazard has performed well in more games swung it. But he's also played more games if I'm correct.

I also feel that Hazard can go missing at times in some games, but one thing you can guarantee with Son is that he will work his arse off even when he's not totally on his game.

Yep. Despite playing with/in a massively more expensively assembled squad, he's dragged them to below us in the league & to the same stage of an inferior European competition.

That's indictive on how the squad has been managed and days more on how good/bad his team mates are...

is it Hazard's fault his manager has played silly buggers and stuck him in the false 9 role on occasions?

Is it his fault that his supporting cast are inconsistent and their strikers are turd?

From the outside looking in, I'm in the belief that he's been played as a false 9 because it's what he wanted.

It very much seems like he's the one who calls the shots & I've heard nothing from him or Sarri to make me think any other way.
