Met Clive back at the end of 2015 in the corperate section at white hart lane, lovely man chatted away for a good 20 minutes as he toured Perth with QPR in the 80's , not sure I got much conversation out was just in awe the whole time

I remember when Arsenal signed Clive Allen for big money from QPR in 1980, he played a couple of pre-season friendlies and then went to Crystal Palace as part of the Kenny Sansom deal. 62 days as an Arsenal player, it was massively controversial at the time

Very strange at the time. Don’t recall anything like that ever happening. There the odd one where a player has signed and admitted a mistake a day or two afterwards.
