I watched the Juve V Roma game on Monday and can fully understand why Lamela is struggling in the PL. Totally different pace, tactics and energy.

The game was played at a slower pace, ticki-taki going nowhere football. I hope this kid can produce but i do fear that his game just does not suit the pace and energy of the PL.

A tactic that would be counteracted easily by teams that are orgnised in defence and sit deep because he would try to pass through the eye of a needle and give up posession.

Some of his passes, the speed he gets the ball away under pressure and skills at times leave me thinking there is a player, then yup he looses it rather than play the simple option. He also drifts in the middle and we loose our width I wonder if he needs to play centrally and if we had a winger to add width one side he would be better. Not sure if he is a white elephant or we need to build a team around him.
