Who is this Barkley we're trying to buy? Google says he's a retired NBA player. I tried looking for Rose, but it only came up with "thin-skinned" and "descending colon".

Poch's pressed is at 1pm isn't it, we will know what's what after that. If he wasn't applauded in the dressing room calls it takes is Lloris, Dembele or Kane, none of which are shy of talking to the press. So far it's silence, this could be on orders from Poch/ Levy but I'm sure we will find out soon.

Only winner so far is The Sun.

My gut feel tells me now that Rose may have burnt his bridges with Poch and the squad. I think that Spurs will sign two or three players that include a full back and Rose will leave before the transfer windows shuts. This whole thing just leaves a bad taste I think Levy and Poch will move him on depending on the right offer.

Such a shame, he's been so good for us the last couple of seasons, often providing the main line of attack with those long runs up the left. Would be really disappointed if he did leave.

Haven't posted in a while but this has pissed me off. Put him in the reserves, set the price tag at 70 million untill someone matches that he can waste away whatever's left of his contract and fuck off up north.

Such an unprofessional way to air your grievances, and just a few days before the season what's he thinking? If anyone else did that in their jobs game over. But these over paid ungrateful dickheads always get what they want, and it's the club and the fans that suffer.

I know that this is about as plausible as me getting a blowie from Mandy Moore on the face of the moon. But I would love to drop Rose to the reserves this season and watch the rest of the boys go out there and win the PL. Not only would he not get his "medal" but would forego any bonuses that would be played to those who earned it through their endeavours.

Tottenham's wages in today's premiership market needs to be addressed, let's be honest here, when your hear of players of like Andy Grey of Watford getting 100k a week Jessy Lingard on 100k and certain academy players on 30-50k the pricing has gone crazy.
Rose highlighting the disparity of wages at Spurs maybe correct on a moral point but it's pretty silly doing so publicly to the Sun news paper he is basically forcing the hand of the club.
We all know the reasoning behind the stadium build...its to be more competitive with wages and once built wages will reflect the market rates I am 100% sure of that.

The whole idea of going to the papers has really pissed me off though so close to the start of the season. Pochettinho can't be pleased about that, imagine Alex Fergusons response!

Anyway, we must manager the situation including Rose, get the players on side and focused... The rest will sort itself out in time one way or the other if player need to go for financial gain so be it. The clubs more important.

The problem is no one outside of the club actually knows what our wage structure is! Just because the basic wage seems, in PL terms, low doesn't mean to say that the club doesn't have performance incentives in place that put the wages on par or at least somewhere closish to some of the top payers. Until the club publishes it's wage structure then all anyone else can do is speculate.

Rose was wrong o publicly do what he did - MoPo's interviewed reaction was why MoPo is so brilliant.
That aside - The wages footballers get are ridiculous - and if you're not in a Oil Magnet's hobby - you're not going to get the 250k a week. That simple.
Dail Fail and The Scum - both comparing the best paid with Tottenham's players - it would more interesting to see what the average Premier league player in each position got paid, compare and then have an opinion.
All that aside - Spurs would be better off at this moment in time paying the top wage that they can afford for each player in our best starting X1 - I don't like to see Toby of 50k a week or indeed Rose on 60k a week - they need to feel a) Wanted and b) rewarded for performance - so bonuses should be a massive part of any pay structure - Not just for winning, trophies - but also for being a part of the first team - you don't make the starting X1 - you don't get the big bucks.
Think, when the dust has settled - now that we are in with the big boys we need to play a better big boy financial game.
I'd rather our top X1 did get paid a top wage than went and spent 50million on a donkey.
Do the maths...
For example: Up Rose to 100k and Toby to 100k week and it costs the club just 5million a year (or 6 x Sissokos!) - Both are happy.
My trust remains in Levy & MoPo.
COYS!!!

That does make sense, sad but true.
It's a strange one - we all loved Rose and Walker bombing up the flanks. But our results were just as good with Davies and Trippier (not so bombing up the flanks).
That said - We need quality back up signings pretty pronto - and MoPo will make it happen.

Yes it is Friday evening and I have too much time on my hands...but just to back that up with a stat or two.

Rose
1530 minutes played
2 goals, 3 assists
8 clean sheets.

Davies
1740 minutes played
1 goal, 3 assists
8 clean sheets.

Rose edges it - but only just.

Walker
2700 minutes played
6 assists
14 clean sheets (every 190mins)

Trippier
570 minutes played
5 assists (amazing delivery - yet not pacey)
3 clean sheets (every 190mins)

I can see why MoPo has faith in Trippier.

Whether intentional or not, we're going to have to sing the Danny Rose song and cheer the team from our first home game onwards - if we boo, and create a negative atmosphere, it will sour the mood and rub off on the rest of the team
Hmmm. I won't be booing the team but I certainly won't cheer Danny Sicknote Rose if/when he plays again.

Oh, and just for the record. To those who say that this shows what is WRONG with THFC, I say jog on to support PSG. They spend a lot and have a team of marquee players you don't need google for.
I will stick with Spurs who actually do what a club supposed to - find good players, make them better, pay them respectable wages (tens of thousands A WEEK) and still develop at a steady pace.
You want to wank off to a huge new name in your team every time you look into the paper - the City's and Chelsea's of this world welcome you with open arms.
Danny Rose can eff-off with the rest of you.

Now I feel better.

What the fu@k?!?!

No offence, but unless you are an adolescent headcase or a menopausal woman having a particularly bad day, then there's no justification for you to have a stupid fu@king rant at fellow supporters like that.

I'm a season ticket holder for 22yrs and it's perfectly fu@king legitimate for me - and others - to have a different opinion to you. Understand?

Oh, and by the way, I support this club - and the manager and the players - and I gauge success by the fu@king trophy cabinet, not the bloody P&L account or balance sheet. Most sane people can accept that there is a right balance somewhere between where we are and the likes of PSG.

It's not going to happen tho is it? Rose has marked his card big time which is a real shame

That apology is cringeworthy, at-gunpoint stuff tho

I'm not sure what it has to do with the menopause, but you do sound as if your hormones are in a tizzy.

Thing is if you watched or listened to the MP presser then we all know this story is complete bullshit, he's not training with the first team and if you believe MP (which I choose to) then the only people around to give DR the applause were Trippier and GKN, who he's doing his rehabilitation with.

If those two did applaud him, one I'd be very surprised and two it would have been a very very slow sarcastic hand clap imho

A. There is nothing moral about demanding more when you're on 80k a week
B. I'm 100% we won't go down that road. You don't invest 700 million only to squander the profits on wages. Levy's comments about sustainability reflect that very clearly.

You can say that however the reality is different, players talk, many of them share the same agent they will all know how much is being paid and how much they can get.

I'm for the club not the players... if Levy believes that for the benefit of our progression wages is an area we need to be careful about until the project is complete we stay on course, however players are what they are and don't really give a toss using arguments to get more money or equal to there fellow contemporaries (Courtinho has put in a transfer request) so we will have issues now we are challenging nearer the top.

I'm not surprised tbh most player are greedy.
