My mum had a Brain Hemorrhage a while back. My understanding of the situation is that if you pull through the initial event you are generally ok. Similar to a heart attack if its going to kill you it generally does it straight away.

Sad news, lets hope he still has more Fergie time in him. My thoughts and prayers!

Damn. He looked really well when he presented Wenger with the vase last week. Hope he pulls through.

He looked very healthy last week - really awful news and I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

The fact just about every football club in the world, along with FIFA and even the NBA have already tweeted their best wishes, says everything that needs to be said about this man’s status not only in football but in world sport.

Let’s hope he pulls through.

I’d say he’s the key figure of football in my lifetime. Hope he pulls through and recovers well. Hated when we used to turn over for his teams but it’s impossible not to have maximum respect for him.

Football is a tribal game, it gets you up - it gets you down.

There's one thing for sure - Without Fergie the last 30 years would have been just boring.

One FA Cup win away from the sack he built a dynasty, an annoying dynasty but something for the rest
to want to emulate.

Hope your biggest battle goes well for you Maestro

Between him and his captain the will to win was extraordinary. Whatever it took, whether mind games, media, a word to the ref, the respect he commanded from his players and any lack of effort was blasted. He cared more about the club than his owners. His teams never knew when they were beat. I always hated United during his reign but so much admiration too, he is a legend.

Knocking Liverpool off their perch seemed a laughable statement but he did it big time. Our hope Mauro becomes the fella to do it at Spurs like that!!

They mentioned on the news last night that he was in an induced coma. I haven't seen that mentioned in any of the articles that I've read on it though.

I believe he'll pull through in Fergie Time (y)

My old headmaster had a brain annurism (sp) and the only thing that kept him alive was... hardened arteries from smoking. What a Catch 22, die of bleeding on the brain now or lung cancer later.

If someone asked me when I would like to die I am pretty sure I'd say "Later" rather than "Now" whatever the circumstances (y)(y)
