Like it.
Good back up for Eriksen and Dele and Son.
He'll get plenty of game time.
We've been very lucky with injuries to Christian.

Oh wait Daily Mail

As if Everton would get anything near 50m for a player out of contract next season. More like half that, maximum.

Not keen on this idea, anyway. He'd be a bit part player, sub or cup games, cover for injuries. He should be playing regularly somewhere.

More likely, i'd say, is Everton want him (http://www.skysports.com/football/n...n-gylfi-sigurdsson-from-swansea-in-the-summer) and they see him as the replacement for Barkley. Spurs going in for Gylfi scuppers that and leaves them with a player whose value will drop. Maybe it's a leak to encourage Everton to play ball.

I'd have him back in a heartbeat. Would be fantastic to have him back in a team that would thrive on what he's capable of doing and would provide superb cover for Eriksen. A little bit more rotation than we've seen this season would keep everybody extra sharp.

Would fit in beautifully and just imagine how much more Poch could get out of him. Also played up front this season IIRC.

I can't think of a better player for this team. Talented, hard working, versatile, relevant experience. Could cover for Eriksen (unlike Barkley who would be cover for Alli). The only question is - why did Poch sanction his sale?

Which has been answered by him before.

“But it was a club decision and his decision to move to Swansea and find another way. Every time we meet him and see him, he shows his quality – not only as a player but like a man. All the people here talk very highly about him. It’s a shame but sometimes in football you never know what will happen. There are no regrets.

“When we arrived at Tottenham we had 34 senior players and it was difficult to assess them all in the first few weeks, because we did not have enough time. The decision when we were in Seattle was for him to play the first friendly game. I remember he was in the starting XI to play that match and I had a call to say: ‘OK, the agreement is done with Swansea.’ When the club and player decide to move, there is nothing you can do about that.”

Full disclosure - I always thought he was incredibly underrated by our fans when he was with us, so no surprise I'd want him back. I used to say my favourite players were him and Dembele, I got a lot of grief!

Thanks. Id not read that. It sounds like this could happen. It has the ring of truth despite being in the Mail. I would love it.

A player who can take a corner that consistently beats the first man. We could do with one of those. Get him back in!!

We need to sign replacements for Walker, Rose, Dele, Dier and Toby before we sign a back up for Eriksen ;)

Free the Swansea one.
One and a half if they throw in Tom Carroll.
They can keep Carroll. Good player but we have better, even for the bench. If he was happy playing as rarely as he would in this squad, I would have serious concerns about his motivation. It's right he is somewhere he will play regular football.
