Seems to create chances or score goals in every game he features, which is quite remarkable considering he plays for a team who could yet go down.

If he'd be happy play from the bench (let's be honest he'd probably still get 20-25 starts) I'd be happy to have him back.

That's the reason he left in the first place. He was never going to start ahead of Eriksen and nothing has changed.

Don't see the point personally. 28 this year and must be on a decent wage. He won't get many chances. Why pay a good wage for a benchwarmer? Get a young promising teen in for Eriksen's understudy if we need one.

Cause we need game winners, If Eriksen gets injured who can we bring on realistically to carry the load? With Siggy we have a player who knows the league, is a game winner and would fit it with our players. Eriksen can't play every game, we need proven depth moving forward if we want to challenge for the League and the other competitions. Plus with his versatility, we can play him and Eriksen as well.

Fair enough. Not for me. Not sure he's athletic enough for our system personally.

Again, proven depth. He can play in the same team as Eriksen if need be. Eriksen can't play every game and worst case what happens when Eriksen gets injured? Who can we realistically bring in to carry the load? I hope Lamela heals up but at this time we're not even sure how long he'll be out. With Siggy, we would have a versatile game winner.

Plus your forgetting one of the best parts about our current team, its much easier to convince players to join up and fight for a spot when we're challenging for trophies and playing in the CL.

Saw a stat on Twitter that a very high percentage of his goals and assists this year have been from set pieces. While that's an area we could improve on, I don't think he's mobile enough or multifunctional enough for Poch.

I see him going to Everton, particularly if we take Barkley.

True, but one of Poch's known skills is improving players physicality and athleticism. I'm big into the sports science end of things and the Spurs physios and coaches are really doing a phenomenal job of improving our players and preventing injuries. Give Siggy a Poch pre-season and he'll be just fine.

I'd have him back just to retrain Eriksen how to take free kicks..... We do need good cover for Eriksen though..... I think he would be excellent a second time around.

He's a percentages player in terms of that he has great stats but these are mainly free kicks. Apart from shooting and dead ball delivery he doesn't really offer much as an AM for a team like us who will play against 2 banks of 4 usually. We need technique, dribbling, vision and passing in addition to what he offers.

I dunno. He's 27. There's only so much you can do. I like him, not exactly against it, just can't see it being a good fit.

Would be madness (madness I tell thee!) if we blocked young talent like Marcus Edward's path into our first team squad by buying someone who no disrespect, isn't the level of player we should be looking at now.

He scores goals and is good at set pieces but he's not got enough else in his locker for where we want to be.

He's found his spiritual home in Swansea and some players just suit clubs and should stay with said club.

I'm in the, "fond of Siggy but all parties are better off if he stays where he is" camp, like many others.

Plus you can absolutely guarantee that if he re-joined us his set pieces would have gone from amazing to anaemic in about half-a-season. It's how we do.

"Never really got a fair chance or run in the team" why is it that when people leave people's memory become rose tinted ?
For the record he got a fair crack and failed ... there are VERY few players I can think of that didn't get a fair chance at the club ...funnily enough one is here now in GNK

I don't mind if we can get him for under 10 million. Give him the last 15 minutes if we are trailing or tied and get the others to run at defences to get free kicks. He'll then deliver.
