Nice choice. He is very reliable, a true professional, has a couple of good PL seasons left. It will be sad to see him go for anything under 10M :cautious:

I thought he was signed on a 4 year contract which would mean that his contract is up next summer.

A loan is bullshit, either pay a small transfer fee or he should stay where he is.

Think it will be prudent to just get him out the club now, and his wages. No loan fee, pays all wages...I'd take that all day. Especially if it's an early bit of business.

Aston Villa wont pay all his wages, at most they will pay a fraction. I actually think Sherwood could get Adebayor scoring again. It would hurt to see him scoring for Villa tbh. Adebayor and Benteke is potentially a lethal partnership.

Yes but see the dressing room problems he causes ....we would be free. It's obvious his time is done at the lane, let's worry about how good we can be, with a striker replacement rather than villa who have a bag of young talent, but releastically won't challenge for top 4 next year at least. I would rather he just goes.

We knew about the problems when we bought him and still did it anyway. I wouldnt count on him being replaced either, Poch wanted a new striker in the summer transfer window and didnt get one.

Can't afford to be picky if the opportunity is there to shift him. He's draining money out of the club and the chances of him playing again are miniscule.

Yes but maybe that's because Ade was still here, and bobby... And Kane. No way was we going to buy another striker for a one striker system when we have 3. Ade leaves and bobby leaves, we will see 2 new strikers.

We were in for Wellbeck and we still had 3 strikers. Now that the Bale money is finished no transfer is guarenteed.

I have to say Tim Sherwood is one hell of a manager - all the Villa players interviewed after the game paid homage to him and said he is the person who has got them firing as a team. Well done sir - really wish you were with us in some capacity but I wish you well i.e. keep Villa up and win the Cup.

I think Ade leaving is overdue although there may well be a few good seasons left in him. Just not with us.

We ridicule and mock Tim but so far, he ain't doing bad!!

I wish him well in the Cup Final.

Controversial as it is, I maintain he should of been given a chance. Granted he's a bit of a dick, but so was ferguson, so is mourinho... They just have that winning mentality. Can see him going on to good things...
