How an earth can you lot vote in favour of Keane by over 4 to 1 votes. They've got the same goals but Berbatov works harder and supplies more to the team over all. Which is why he stays on the pitch everygame and keane goes off.

Someone please explain to me on what basis they voted for keane over Berbatov ?
berbs works harder than keane:shrug: are you mad. well done to keano, you deserve it.

I'm assuming you're trolling/on the wind-up BC, or pretty much every good football point you made in the last year has just gone flying out of the window.

berbatov works harder with the actual ball, at his feet, thighs, chest, head. no doubt.

keanes had a great season but i believe berbatov has been the best player, and he's had a quiet season, which says alot..

When Keane isn't scoring he's next to useless. He doesn't challenge for the ball and is scared to put himself in any situation where he might come into contact with the opposition. Berbatov when not scoring is at least showing for the ball, competing with defenders, prepared to drop deep and hold the ball up and gets fouled about 15 times a game.

If you don't understand the point I'm making, ask yourself why Keane gets pulled off every game and Berbatov is left on the pitch.

I just want someone to explain to me their reasons for voting Keane over Berbatov. So far nobody has.

I suspect it has something to do with attitude and commitment and that he has signed up for the long haul instead of periodically talking about leaving. I think that influences fans' judgment and perception.

B-C, I voted for Keane over Berbs. The reason I said in the original voting thread:

Has to be Keane. Stand in Captain in Ledley's prolonged abscence, 100 Spurs goals, top scorer in England in 2007, some absolutely outstanding goals, passionate about Spurs, gives 100% every game and obviously bleeds lillywhite. What more can we ask for?

Steed has improved, but improvements not enough. Berbs has been quiet. In a very short time Woodgate has launched himself up there with some fantastic defensive displays and winning us the Cup. Bale might have been a possibility if he hadn't got injured. Ramos might possibly have got Man of the year, but it just has to be Keano...... it has to be!

I hear that the poll officials have been detained and President Zokopops is demanding a recount. Veteran Spurs supporters have invaded WHL and demanded that the pitch be handed over to them so that they can grow mealies.

If I'd play for Spurs I would run around like a headless chicken covering a lot of ground.

Would I win player of the year?

Steed should have one. He had the most MOTM performances and was working hard when the rest were shit at the start of the season. Berbs has only played 1/2 a season again.

(OK Keane worked hard when we were shit and deserves credit)

guess you are just one of a number who forgot that Steed actually got dropped by Jol earlier in the season because of poor form, thats right poor form

was around the Fulham 3-3 period where he had like 4 bad games in a row ending up with Jol rightfully dropping him

of course he has been better since he got dropped, though he still doesn't produce enough asssists/goals which will see him lose his starting place next season 'if' we improve our midfield.

His job is to help take the pressure of the strikers by getting his fair share of goals and providing assists, not trying to be the Zokora of the left wing, don't get me wrong I love his work rate, but thats not enough and certainly not enough for our player of the season

my old man thinks part of the reason why Berbs gets left on to keep him happy, Ramos not wanting him to leave, he could be right

as far as voting for Keane over Berbs, it was close I ended up going for Keane as he works his butt off

an example of why I went with Keane is Berbs reaction after the pass by Jenas I think it was, against Blackburn, the pass that was only a couple feet away from putting him through one on one, it was the only place Jenas could put it without the ball being cut off by the defender and was a great effort, yet Berbs shoved his hands in the air in disgust, it was not an easy pass at all, in fact the commentators mentioned what a fine ball it was

Well obviously you don't see. Like a lot of people have missed the impact of Malbranque this season, Keane has, for the most part, had the right attitude this season when a lot of players went missing, including Berbatov. The Carling Cup aside, it has been a disappointing season for most of our players. Robbie is one of the few who can say he did his bit.

I'd also like a Number One Fan autograph :)

Berba's reaction could easily be read as frustration, rather than disgust. After the goal, Berba pointed at Jenas and ran over to thank and congratulate him.
