Well that's a sarri state of affairs...
They are like an Italian version of us but at least they've won something and qualified for the champions league recently.

just dont let him see the tape of that Besiktas game at home....he was either drunk or had been tapped up for a bung. Never seen anything like it in all my years of watching what has historically been some pretty mediocre defending.

Chiriches has shown moments of class I will give him that and he gives the impression of a very talented player. I think he suffers from overconfidence (or maybe trying to impress too much) and a lack of concentration.

Sometimes keeping things basic and safe is the best option. That flick gif above is a perfect example - whilst it is wonderful and flamboyant if it works, there's a 50% chance he's gonna get caught out by the forward and as the last man that will mean trouble.

he is just a liability Remmber when we had woodgate and king you forgot there were there almost as they were always in the right place so never looked like they were defending.

If he could get his concentration levels and decision making sorted out then he would make a hell of a defender. I recall Kaboul was the same when he first arrived and I had hoped that Chiriches would improve in the same way but he has too many players ahead of him now.
With that in mind I would not be surprised to see him sold for £20m in 2/3 seasons or so

he is a good player, just needs to be in a league where he has more time on the ball.

wish him all the best, hope he gets his career back on track.

I don't think his physically big and strong enough (for the EPL)

That's not really necessary in the European leagues if you consider players like Cannavaro, Puyol or Danny Blind who were all World Class in their own right despite being relatively short for Centre Backs.

If the player is capable of containing the opposing striker then what for his height or physical size
