I've just come to catching up with this thread having finished reading today's posts in the Eriksen thread, and they make for a pretty funny double bill if you read them back to back.

Eriksen thread = "He's totally fucking us over, if he was any kind of decent human being he'd make a gentlemen's agreement with Spurs where we let him go to Real Madrid on the condition that he signs a new contract with us first so we could at least get market rate for his transfer."

Sessegnon thread = "Hahahaha, lolz at Fulham wanting £50m for Sessegnon last year, he's now down to 12 months left on his contract, they should be begging at our feet for us to offer £25m this summer or we just poach him on a tribunal fee next summer, those n00bs!"

Let’s hope that no one comes in and offers mega money that forces Sessignon to make a decision.
There doesn't seem to be much buzz around him. He didn't exactly pull up any trees last season.

Tottenham are staying patient in their pursuit of top left-back target Ryan Sessegnon, Sky Sports News understands.

The 19-year-old is understood to want to join Mauricio Pochettino's squad this summer, putting Spurs at the front of the queue to sign him.

But after securing the signatures of Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, the club now need to move players out to make room in the squad and accrue new funds.

Among those available is left-back Danny Rose.

Fulham are also standing firm on their £40m valuation for Sessegnon so far - while Tottenham would hope to negotiate a lower fee.

The clubs are yet to enter direct talks over a deal.

Nothing has changed then from 6 weeks ago.

Even better when you mix in the Zaha thread as well and how stupid he was for renewing if he had even thought about wanting to move.

Well we're still after a premium price for Eriksen apparently, even with a only a year left. So I can see why Fulham would want to do the same with Sessengon.
There's a big difference tho one is a champions league club the other is in the championship

we can have him for free next season (i know we will have to pay a free via tribunal) or 40 million this season i wonder how long before Fulham cash in, let's be honest levy is not going to spunk 15 million if he doesn't need to!

this is where the frustration has always kicked in. 9/10 times in the past we’ve lost the guy we wanted in this scenario.

True. I remember when we got Ross Barkley for free.

The only issue I see is that the Fulham owner is pretty wealthy and doesn't need the Sessegnon money.

If Fulham think they have a far better chance of getting promoted with Sessegnon which would ultimately lead to far more money upon their Premier League return then maybe Fulham see the risk of losing him on a free a worthwhile thing to do in order to secure promotion.

Sell a player for £20m or keep him and gain promotion and the opportunity to earn £100m in the Prem whilst losing him on a free. This Sessegnon one will drag.

Except that Spurs are a club clearly going places and building for the title, while Fulham are a club who've just been relegated.
