Certainly a big young prospect. Good athlete and versatile. Has had an eye opener in the PL after a unreal Championship season. Think Poch would get a lot out of him.

Just worry if it's taking funds away from the main business. They used to say Levy worked off of two budgets, a main one and a developmental one (like the deals for Walker and Rose back in the day). Not sure if that's the case any more however.

Guardian on this as well. Be nice to get ANY transfer over the line as soon as. Good morale going into the final and would setup a good summer.

Very strange Fulham were so bad too as they had some good players littered throughout the team.
That was their problem imo. They spent over £100m on nearly every player on planet Earth. Very similar to how we spent all of the Bale money, mostly on shite, and struggled.

You can buy as many players as you like, but that doesn’t make it a team.

This is the type of player that some fans won’t want to spend £25m on but in 5 years time if he’s worth £100m most of them same fans will be Moaning as to why we didn’t sign him

Just like Maddison. Should have bought him whilst at Norwich. I really hope we sign sessegnon.

This is the most Spurs/Poch signing and i'm all for it. Young, versatile, English - this has all the hallmarks of Alli, Clyne, Rose, Lallana, Shaw and every other English player Poch has taken under his wing and transformed.

This time last year he was one of the hottest young prospects in the world and a poor season in a relegated side hasn't changed anything other than his price tag.

Not to mention he'll be able to cover defensive and offensive positions for us. Would love for us to get this done.

At the right price, it's a no brainer for us.

He is home grown so that should help us immensely. Given he is just 18, he will be a project for Poch. If he joins, we have got to be patient with him

I think he might struggle to get game time and rebuild his confidence, but given his age, potential, character (apparently v.mature for his age) and the circumstances at Fulham, we'd be fools not to take a punt on him.

He's exactly the type of signing that got us to where we are now and even if it doesn't work out we can probably sell him for a reasonable fee down the line. Plus he won't be too expensive and actually wants to play under Poch.

Obvious Levyball signing.

That said, one of my mates is a big Fulham fan and has never really rated him despite all the goals - though he's also a contrarian bastard so I'm not sure what to make of that.

Is this the most stereotypical transfer saga ever? People were moaning that we didn't want to pay over the odds last year but it was obvious a star player for a promoted team would look better than a young player in a relegated team. He's only 18 and wouldn't have offered anything more than KWP could for us this season

Tottenham face Ryan Sessegnon competition from Man Utd, PSG and RB Leipzig

Tottenham Hotspur will have to fight off interest from a string of Europe’s leading clubs if they are to secure the signing of Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon.

Sessegnon will be leaving Fulham this summer following their relegation from the Premier League. The club had hoped to keep their best players ahead of the new campaign but Sessegnon’s contract expires at the end of next season so they risk losing him for free if they do not sell him now.

Tottenham are leading the race for Sessegnon, whose preference is to work under Mauricio Pochettino provided an agreement can be reached between the two clubs. Telegraph Sport understands there is also interest from Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and German side Red Bull Leipzig.

The interest from elsewhere could lead to a bidding war over the 18-year-old, who can play as a left-back or a winger.

Fulham’s struggles in the Premier League this season have prevented Sessegnon from maintaining his remarkable goalscoring momentum from the Championship, but he is still expected to cost around £30 million.
This sounds like the line coming from Fulham to try and get us to up our offer.

Negotiations are what they are, but I do hope Levy doesn’t play the silly games until right up to the death of the window.

Right price should be about 25 million. He is a player with a lot of potential but nowhere near the finished article. Scored a lot of backpost goals for Fulham in the championship at 17, but when I watched him on a few occasions i thought his all round game was still very unpolished. I'm sure Poch can improve him but would want us blowing too much of the budget on him personally.

Also sounds like Sessegnon's side is making it clear he only wants us

I know many will say he's only 18 but i don't see it. I don't see this untapped potential he's meant to have.
He looks like another Walcott to me.

Ornstein, the reliable BBC bloke, on Radio 5 Live essentially just said that we want him and he wants us and it probably will get done

With a year left and the player set on us surely we can get this done in that £25m region. Certainly worth doing if so.

We're seeing this play out a bit. Would wager we've been in contact but not officially bid due to difference in asking price or waiting for CL to finish as Poch said. Fulham know we're going to low-ball so they tell some pressers to see if they can drum up interest that might catch Sess's eyes with big names. Now Sess's camp is briefing some pressers his preference is Spurs if he leaves and wants to stay in London. Nothing anyone involved probably didn't already know, it's just playing out in the press cycles which is hopefully a good sign. However when I saw a very similar thing happen with Barkley I thought that deal was all but done and well here we are.

I think we're more likely to develop him as a left back than attacking player.

The fact he was not only holding his own but excelling as a 16 year old in the championship shows a unique talent. He is exactly the kind of signing that we should be making to supplement other more high profile purchases. If he went to a team like Leicester or Bournemouth and did well he would be out of our price range and everyone would be bemoaning our inability to take a chance on players early.
