Have we ever had an 18 year old score 2 and get 6 assists in the league? He's in a truly dog-turd team as well.

I have no doubt we will sign him as it’s been on the cards for so long and the player appears set on us too. Only thing to work out is where he will play? Is he a LWB in a 3-5-2 or a wide forward in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3? And will he play on the right if an attacker so he can cut onto his stronger foot? ?

He'd be a great signing. 2 goals and 6 assists in a team that only scored 34 goals all season, in roughly 26 games worth of actual time on the pitch (2298 minutes), in his first season in top flight football with a very bad team while aged 18. That's really not a bad contribution is it?

He obviously didn't set the league on fire last season, which may benefit us as he seems to be going under the radar of other clubs, but I think he's a serious talent and I'd be delighted with a player of his potential, and who knows the league for 25m.

interesting JJ says "yet" clearly in the pipeline, and now all the journos are starting to pick up on it, think he'll be the first summer signing, would love him and wan bissaka to start things off.

hopefully villa will lose tonight, and grealish will join them, then we can go all out for an "elite" signing, and that'll be a fantastic summer.

I've seen in the multitude previous rumours and discussions about Sessegnon that it was a BOGOF deal with his brother. Does anyone know or have any insight as to whether that would still be the case?

Tottenham face Ryan Sessegnon competition from Man Utd, PSG and RB Leipzig

Tottenham Hotspur will have to fight off interest from a string of Europe’s leading clubs if they are to secure the signing of Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon.

Sessegnon will be leaving Fulham this summer following their relegation from the Premier League. The club had hoped to keep their best players ahead of the new campaign but Sessegnon’s contract expires at the end of next season so they risk losing him for free if they do not sell him now.

Tottenham are leading the race for Sessegnon, whose preference is to work under Mauricio Pochettino provided an agreement can be reached between the two clubs. Telegraph Sport understands there is also interest from Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and German side Red Bull Leipzig.

The interest from elsewhere could lead to a bidding war over the 18-year-old, who can play as a left-back or a winger.

Fulham’s struggles in the Premier League this season have prevented Sessegnon from maintaining his remarkable goalscoring momentum from the Championship, but he is still expected to cost around £30 million.

In a way I'm glad he didn't set the PL on fire. Still a chance to get him relatively cheap. £25m-£30m is hardly a gamble on an 19 year-old with his ceiling.

Had he scored 7-10 goals this season you'd be looking at double that at least.

Fulham have been one of the worst teams in Prem history, nobody looks good from them. Writing him off as an 18 year old who was deployed everywhere (including kit man) is foolhardy and frankly I will not stand for it.

The whole team have been a complete shambles to be fair. I'm prepared to write this season off as a blip. For 25m or something I think he's worth the gamble.

I also think long term he's more suited to the LWB role rather than a proper AM/winger. I think in the Championship he looked better going forward than he is but against superior defences he was found out a bit. I think under Poch he could be a long-term Rose replacement.

Yeah he has had a poor season.
Maybe he believed his own hype? Maybe he is just in a development phase, who knows... fact is Bale had poor spells when he was young, it's about recognising the talent.

If we believe he is good enough (and everything points tot he fact that we believe that), then we will go for him. Relegated team, HG player (which we desperately need), this is and always has been our MO.

I've no opinion either way as I've not seen the lad play much at all. Just passing on what my son, who has seen him. told me. This is a RS thread, after all.

Wasn't having a pop at you mate, sorry if it came across that way. Just pointing out that, when you look at it in context, him having a poor season isn't necessarily down to him not having the ability or attitude, but more down to the club he's at being in complete disarray all season. Therefore I'm prepared to give him a chance based on what we know of him long-term rather than writing him off on the basis of this year's mess at Fulham

Ryan Sessegnon wants to join Tottenham over Man Utd as Fulham set £40m asking price

Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon wants to join Tottenham over Manchester United this summer.

Spurs, United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are all interested in the 18-year-old, who has one year remaining on his Fulham contract.

Sessegnon has made Spurs his first choice because he wants to stay in the capital, play Champions League football and, crucially, work under Mauricio Pochettino. The Spurs manager has a remarkable record of improving young English players and Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Kieran Trippier, Eric Dier and Danny Rose have all become regulars for the national team during his tenure.

Relegated Fulham are braced for Spurs to act on a long-standing interest in Sessegnon, although the north Londonders may wait until after the Champions League Final against Liverpool on June 1 to make a formal approach.

Spurs have not made a signing since Lucas Moura in January 2018 but Pochettino has called for the club to "operate in a different way" after this season and the Argentine is thought to be planning an overhaul of his squad.

Fulham value Sessegnon at around £40million, with Spurs keen to pay closer to £25m. It is thought a compromise should be reached between the clubs. Fulham are aware of the need to sell Sessegnon this summer because they would be due less than £500,000 in compensation if he moved abroad in the summer of 2020, at the end of his contract.

I'm for it in principle, I just have no idea where this bloke would play in our team and would hope we're not spending £25m for the sake of it that could be used to strengthen elsewhere.

Very strange Fulham were so bad too as they had some good players littered throughout the team.

This is the most Spurs/Poch signing and i'm all for it. Young, versatile, English - this has all the hallmarks of Alli, Clyne, Rose, Lallana, Shaw and every other English player Poch has taken under his wing and transformed.

This time last year he was one of the hottest young prospects in the world and a poor season in a relegated side hasn't changed anything other than his price tag.

Not to mention he'll be able to cover defensive and offensive positions for us. Would love for us to get this done.
