It definitely seems to be gathering momentum in the media, along with Lo Celso. Albeit, all the talk is of Ryan, not so much about both twins. Do we reckon he’s off the table, or just purely Ryan is better known.

Yh especially since he’s come though the ACON unscathed... whereas Dier returned to training requiring surgery lol. If Victor can regain and retain his fitness then he’s most definitely still an asset to us. NDomblele, Sissoko and Wanyama is the right mix for the season ahead. With his fitness issue and knowing he’ll struggle to pass a medical elsewhere I’d expect him to be more than happy with being a squad player and covering ND and MS as and when needed.

If they were fit at the same time I'd love to see them, just twice next season, at the emirates and stamford bridge. They would wreck their midfield!

Is Wanyama definitely broken for good, or did he just come back to soon and should recover by next season. Genuine question, I don’t know.
I can’t see him stepping down to Championship, especially when there’ll be PL teams interested.
Also, this story about Fulham wanting a player in return, are they looking at loans or perm? Because that impacts who we’d consider surely.
All seems a bit mysterious in regards to whether Wanyama ever had surgery.

Wanyama is far far too good for Championship football. He may have had a season or two injured but even half crocked, he was better than Dier last season. I’d be happy to give him another season to prove his fitness.
Ability wise 1000%
Fitness wise - massive concerns.

Since the 16/17 season and his long injury pretty much every performance was lacking with that mobility, force and ability we had seen previously.

The performance in the QF against City was reminiscent of a veteran player who was putting 110% in but you could see was nearing the end. That may be a slight exaggeration but I feel like we have seen the best or anything close to the best from him. Most other prem clubs will be aware of this therefore will avoid (unless your West Ham who love a crock). But a championship club maybe happy to take on an experienced solid pro.

Wasn’t there some ITK or a rumour that Wanyama and the club had a bit of a rift over him having surgery? As in one party wanted him to and the other didn’t?

I think so, and the there were reports he would have surgery at the end of last season. Which he clearly hasn't had.

It's all a bit unclear.

Are they fuck. In the league of shithouses they are challenging for top 6. One look at their website and the kind of ads they are generating should warning anyone with half a brain off.

Which means they have a lot of SC'ers on there.
Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.

Here’s hoping...

Vic would make sense if we were talking to Sess 2 (Steven) as he has been known to play DM in the past, but no mention of Sess 2 in the media release

He played 19% (and was useless 80% of that time) of possible league minutes last 2 season and with Ndombele and hopefully Lo Celso now it would be even less. He's 28, it's good opportunity to sell him to West Ham or swap for Sess.
Totally agree. Even at his best he is the wrong type of player for where we want to go. Extremely limited with the ball, clumsy, slow and gives too many fouls away.

Dier was injured a lot of last seJason but imo is the better and far more versatile player.

I am not a fan of wanyama at all.

Nah peak Wanyama shits all over Dier and he was actually quite athletic, much better on the ball than you give him credit for, and an excellent tackler.

Unfortunately that player has gone now. Your description is accurate of the current Wanyama but you seem to have never rated him (which is bizarre considering how he was epic for us in 16/17 and I really don’t see how that can be disputed).

Yeah he was actually very good with the ball. Could get past a player with a dummy or power and close control. I think a lot of fans from other clubs perceptions were the same as walworths but its simply not true

At his best he was fucking awesome for us and one of our best performers in a lot of games during his first season.

When we played that 3-4-2-1 him and Dembele ran things, far more than Dier would do in that formation.
