Umm why hasn't he signed yet?
Because we haven't bid yet. Because we're not going to bid. Because they declined our bid. Because we haven't agreed a deal with them yet. Because he's actually a llama in disguise and we sussed it out just before it was too late. Take your pick.

Well he doesn’t want to leave. He is desperate to make it here, and has a top attitude. I know things can change. I know McDermott champions him massively. And the players rate and like him.

It's a shame the latter probably makes 0 difference.

Like you say things can change but it's clear as day Poch doesn't trust him or even rate him atm.

If I was advising him I'd tell him to go and play football with a loan. Staying and playing as a bookend at 22 will do him no favours.

I'm really not sure how people can disagree with that.

I'm going with the llama.

See this is one of the reasons why I love KWP and also likes of Winks and Kane.

They’re all spurs fans and really have spurs in their blood.

I would be interested to see, if he were to join us, how Poch would utilise Sess. Would he see him as a full back or a winger? I'd be eager to see him develop under Poch's guidance.

I'd say he'd play left back if we had a choice, but if he's proving too useful in a more attacking role, then we'd move him to there.

But currently we've got a stack of attackers and only one left back who can come forward at pace, so that's the obvious choice.

Finally, would RS prefer to play left back in order to cement his place in the England squad? It would probably be easier for him to be selected as a left back rather than a forward.

I haven't seen enough quality on the ball in him up front to think that he could make it ultimately as a LW or forward but he is still young so I could be wrong.

As others have said it looks like LWB may be his best long-term position but he has seemed so advanced for his age that you wonder what his ceiling is in any particular category and where that may take him (e.g. could he be a busy as hell box to box midfielder)

He seems to have a bit of everything

I think we'll keep Dier and use him in the hybrid back 4/back 3 setup. In that case I can see Sessegnon getting minutes at LWB. He might also get some time at LMF in lesser games where we can dominate possession and he'll be used in cup games too. That's IF we sign him.

agree sooner kwp at r/b than trips anyday
Have not seen anywhere near enough of KWP to make that statement. If he played the amount that Trippier he has he could be getting lots of stick too if errors led to goals. Have to trust Poch’s judgement.

I know this thread is for Ryan but his twin Steven will come as well I suspect. Steven is very versatile which Poch likes as he can play right back, centre back and holding midfielder. Important to remember these twins are not yet 20 and Steven has been held back through injury.

I read something recently (may have even been on here) that said Steven was actually the better player, but Ryan got a chance in the team & obviously took it with both hands.
