Yeah, people are getting twitchy, and for good reason.

Seems to be the only decent link to an attacking player and if it goes tits up we're most likely going to be left with the same inferior squad depth as last season.

And if we do sign him there's a chance he won't be available for the CL games Dele misses ( one of the big advantages of having him in the squad).

If this is true surely once we've signed him and it becomes clear Everton were telling porkies then all their PR and face saving will be exposed as a lie. In other words not good PR at all and defeats the purpose of it.

Draxler has just been told hes surplus to requirements at PSG. A reasonable alternative? Only seen him play on a few occasions but he absolutely ripped Barca a new arsehole last season.

Wouldn't put it past levy to leave it until January and look for an even smaller fee for barkley, which if he is out until then would make sense.

Well fair enough. You're right they haven't said anything officially.

I just can't believe that Everton could use and unsubstantiated injury as a reason to accept a lower price. If he isn't really injured it will be clear as soon as we sign him ( or at least a few weeks after).

Are people really that gullible that they wouldn't be able to see through it afterwards.

Lots of people saying Everton had claimed it was a "level 3 tear" but I've not seen anything direct from Everton saying that. Lots of Chinese whispers.
