Barkley being injured doesn't really matter. We're not buying him to plug him straight into the starting lineup.

Don't get me wrong, it's far from ideal that he could be out for 3 months but on the upside it allows us to get him for a better price and I've no doubt we will do that.

While this seemingly shambolic transfer window should make me pessimistic in every opinion concerning transfers, there has still yet to be any official confirmation or quote etc in regards the severity of the injury. Until that time we just don't know.

Though given our luck the tear will be so severe that his leg has fallen straight off.

But until it has been confirmed anywhere other than unquoted Mail articles we just don't know.

Link?

I can't see nothing on Sky, the Beeb or EFC?

I dunno mate I'm taking the piss out of someone yesterday who said it was "widely reported it was a grade 3 tear" about 40 times despite not being able to back it up barring a Daily Mail (poss Mirror) link.

All I keep seeing is links to the mail article

Same.

As I posted yesterday. I was told the injury was real, but they didn't believe it was that serious. AFAIK It is only the Mail have run with it being a grade 3 tear, and as I say that was before it had even been fully assessed.

Surely it would be headline SSN yellow ticker if it had been confirmed, and I'm sure the BBC and EFC would have mention of it on their respective sites as well.

I am starting to get a little nervous about our incomings before the window "slams shut".

I've been pretty relaxed about it thus far, but I can't help but feel our targets are beginning to become laced with caveats and ifs and buts.

Does concern me slightly.

Don't worry mate. Not long now until Levy activates this bad boy....

Other positive factors here are the fact that Barkley can settle into his new home, get to know his new teammates, attend team meetings and get to know Poch's system and the fact that our medical people are taking care of his treatment.

I still don't see us not signing him.

Or other such double negatives.

it has been widely reported that "the Daily Mail understood...". lets calm down and see if we can get some info from the proper scan.

(He was joking, as that's what spids kept saying ... "it's widely reported" and it really isn't/wasn't)

*THAT'S THE JOKE MEME*
