Danny Rose, the Tottenham Hotspur player who has been most outspoken about the club’s previous lack of investment in players, has urged them to support manager Mauricio Pochettino as he pushes for the resources to challenge at the top of the Premier League next season.

There is nothing about that interview - even taking into account the presumed editing-for-mischief - that suggests a player who is motivated to move elsewhere. He wants the club to move on. With him in it.

Or he's heard ManU are now looking at better players than him.

Would like to see rose stay. He had a long time off with injury that has probably effected him both mentally and physically. Hopefully a proper preseason and his mind focussed on spurs he could get back to his best.

I think he has had a good season considering his injuries, but Davies and Tripper have provided eleven assists between them and that has to be close to a PL record for this season by full backs.

I hope Rose does stay, but if he decides to move on i would guess that Poch has a suitable replacement in mind.

"I like to think everyone has moved on, I am here and I am looking forward to coming back to pre-season and hopefully me and Ben [Davies] can start fresh and fight for the No 1 position.”

Problem: Poch doesn't tend to move on from such naked betrayals.

Please keep Danny Rose. Keeping Rose would be HUGE for us. He is the best LB in the league when hes fit and firing. He showed how good he can later in the season and especially that final game. And our system depends on the pace of the fullbacks. We NEED Rose in this team.

What did he say that you think poch thought was unforgivable?

Maybe in the future he might leave and go up north? Poch said similar that he might leave one day.

That he thought spurs need to push the boat out and get class players? Not far off what poch has been saying recently.

That he thinks spurs need to pay more in wages? Would poch really disagree?

He went about it wrong but had been out for a long time and as i said this probably effected him mentally. I don't think it was right and i'm sure poch wasn't too pleased but he has seen him nearly every day since. I'm sure that they have talked.

You might be right but poch hasn't shut him out like he did with other players. We'll have to see.

Difference is, beforehand Rose was like Poch’s son. They were VERY close. Rose didnt create a stink mid season and sell himself through the media like Walker and he didnt back off his word after Poch went to bat for him like Toby.

He said things in the media before the season when he was injured. Stupid in his words? Yes. Mistake? Yes. But he put his head down, got himself fit and went to work this season. Oh and let’s be honest, Rose wasnt exactly wrong. We need to push on and go after better players. He also said that stuff when we had signed no one.

If Danny is re-integrated it will be largely due to the fact that Poch believes the outburst was borne more of frustration/ maybe even a bit of depression (?) caused by the injury

@yankspurs @Lilbaz

We'll see. But shit like that really doesn't fly with poch and he doesn't forget.

I can't see him making an exception as he values trust and integrity so much.

Having nurtured Rose and invested so much faith and energy in him to build him up, he would have found his interview even more egregious.

He might let it fly, but I can't see it.

Also one doth protest too much on the injuries. “It’s nonsense I’m injury prone...” then proceeds to list off multiple injuries in last few seasons.

When you consider Lamela, widely regarded as our new sick note, has missed 388 days and 57 games in three seasons with his hip injury, that Rose has missed 320 days and 46 games across three different injuries over the same time isn’t great evidence for his cause.

Rose lacks Poch's diplomacy but if you look at what Poch has said recently they are actually on the same page. Poch wants to get top class, world class players in, the same as Rose did last season and does now. It's just that Poch is smart enough to speak in code rather than saying it blatantly.

I reckon Aurier's gone. KWP knows that, so has a lovely new contract and Rose's options have reduced, so he's decided to eat some humble pie, knowing we could just offload him due to his poor attitude. Poch managed this situation really well it has to he said. Tripps and KWP on the right and Davies and Rose on the left is good enough for me. Means we can concentrate on other areas.

If that's true, it won't help Poch's case with the board. 25 million down the drain when he could have used KWP. In Aurier's defence, this was his first season in the PL and he had no preseason. The likes of Sissoko have no excuse and he's still getting game time.

Auriers transfer was pretty complicated with all that legal stuff, Levy seemingly put a lot of effort in getting him - would be surprised if he will leave this summer... but who knows

KWP should get more time on the pitch...if it's instead of tripps or aurier doesn't matter to me
