I get the impression that this will be dependent on Sessegnon signing

We'd need better than Sessegnon to replace Rose.

Felt Rose was almost back to his best towards the end of tge season. Maybe he feels now is the opportunity to get his pay day.

Simply that he has 2 years left on his contract.
We either offer him a new one. Sell him or let him run it down.

Well according to Rose the last time someone showed interest, it was pretty disgusting. The fans like him, he plays decently (mostly), i'm sure he's had good support at spurs. Why not stay where its good? I'm not entirely sure where else hes likely to be better off.

Actually read the article. Double down by watching the interview. At no point does he say he wants to leave. He's responding to the question about recent speculation, he's saying he doesn't know and that the club might want to move him on.

"I don't know what the future holds now but I'm looking forward to a break."

"If I'm back at Tottenham next season, great, if I'm not - great," the 28-year-old told Sky Sports.

Rose added: "It's not about regular first-team football. I know my age and I know how the club's run in terms of if you get to a certain age they might look to ship you on."

He's happy either way and there's absolutely nothing wrong in anything he said and I'm not sure how people take this as him angling for a move.

Sessegnon was awful last season and at the moment he is just a player with potential. He may realise that potential or he may not. Rose doesn't seem to be angling for a move, on the contrary he says he would be happy to stay with Spurs. Is there a better English RB/RWB in the country? I don't think so.

Probably, given that he's a LB or LWB...

That's also true, of course!
I'm quite keen on Digne tbh. Rose is totally awesome, but we are probably planning ahead in spending this money this summer. Rose is getting older and probably likes the idea of moving further north. We'll have to see what happens.

Nowhere near the best.

It's amazing when our own fans don't see how good our players are. Robertson is the only one better than Danny. How do you deem him, "nowhere near" - who's better? Rose would get into every single first 11 in the country, Liverpool aside.

I know how good Rose is but Robertson is quite clearly better than Rose, hence nowhere near.
