Roma have reached an agreement with Premier League side Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches, and now must find an accordance with the club.

I assume the club gave them permission to speak to Vlad?

clubs yet to agree a fee! that says it all really! I doubt he would be selected to play if this was going through although we might need to rid if we bring in the mexican defender.

Vlad has never looked a PL CB but maybe OK in a slower less intense league, maybe a good move for everyone

Since when do clubs give permission for a player to discuss terms before a fee has been agreed?

Done deal, just personal terms to sort. Best for all parties and i am left wondering if Baldini gets divi on the sale?

All joking aside a poor signing by any stretch of the imagination. That said i would sooner it had been Kaboul but would guess that Vlad wanted regular first team football. With the likes of Dier and Fazio now at the club he was always going to be a EL/FA.Cup/CC starter and first team back up.

Best of luck to him because as poor as he was at least he tried.

No deal done at all.

Chirches and agent have agreed zillionaires wages with Roma, now waiting to see what fee Roma offer Spurs. If Chirches desired wages are big Roma will not want to pay much of a fee, so no deal.

Hope Chiches is being realistic on his wage demands after poor performances at Spurs so that both he and Spurs can move on

I actually thought he looked quite promising at RB against Hull. With Naughton and Dier not really impressing in that position, I hope we don't release him until Walker and Yeidlin improve our options in that position. It also goes without saying that we need an upgrade on Chiriches, Kaboul and Fazio at CB.

One bad game doesn't make him the friggin' antichrist! Chiriches is a quality player and we should hang on to him. He's played solidly since his nightmare match.

One bad game? he's looked an accident waiting to happen since he arrived

If he could cut out the suicide dribbling and schoolboy passes he could be a decent DM but I dont trust him in the back four, we have too many defenders that switch off as it is, let's aim higher, players are out there it's just the small matter of us finding and scouting them.

Perhaps, but I don't think he's as high not he priority list of casualties-to-be as other players are. My thoughts are that his failings can be corrected, as we just saw recently.

He has the same common sense frailties as Luiz, how did Mourinho correct that situation?

I wouldn't give up so soon on Fredrico 'danny'. I have a feeling that he will settle in and become a steady, largely injury-free C.B. for Spurs.

I hope you are right, but at the moment Fazio looks like the new John Lacy!. I don't want too see Vlad go as he has real quality. Last season he showed e.g against Man Utd away that he really knows how to defend. Just needs a good time free of injury and managerial uphevals and I think he will be okay.

I think he is a great player waiting to happen and we will regret selling him.

But currently he plays with far too much risk in his game and gets caught out too often.
