No, under normal circumstances working people would be given time off work for such a tragic event. But the players won't be afforded that privilege, which seems unfair. How can they be expected to work when a colleague has just died?
Have had experience of similar within my own family, can be incredibly traumatic thing to see. I hope, pretty sure, the club will offer support to the staff or players who were there and tried to help.
Thoughts to his family and everyone close to him, such a scary thing to happen. Looked like he was in great shape from all the recent photos. I know that's no real indicator but still.
Always liked him as a player, thought he was a great defender for Villa when I was kid and he was always one of my first signings every season in the old Championship Manager games. By all accounts it seemed as though he was highly rated as a coach as well.
Hopefully there will be some sort of tribute to him at the game tomorrow.
I think it's a perfectly reasonable thing to think. My initial thought was how unbelievably sad this news is, then I thought about the effect it might have on the team. It's only natural to think that. Obviously if it had been a first team player then the match may have been postponed possibly, whereas it won't now but the players will still be grieving over him.
