They could offer their first 11 + cash, IMO, none of them have the marketing potential that Kane does anymore.
Ronaldo is gone, Bale (love him to bits) is not even a regular starter, Modric is old, I can't recall who the keeper is, Benzema is a bit naughty, Ramos is a cheating ****, actually, most of their defence are. I'm struggling now, you can't put Isco or Asensio anywhere near Kane.

If this is true, Levy should say " here's £70m" for Bale, give him to us and fuck off.

Well we just built a stadium so we simply say we had to take it to finance it and we're still skint. That's not to add any credibility to a crap story though.

Everyone knows Levy. They will know the finances aren't an issue and the will know Levy will never let the club get into that financial situation

For £1b in cash we could invest that in a simple index fund for around 5% ROI. That's a cool 50 million per year. You if you spent that 50m per year, the initial one billion would continue to grow, year on year, while you get a 50m per year cash injection (and continue to have £1b+ in cash on hand).

Are you sure you wouldn't take 1 billion?
Depends how we plan to spend it.

Not enough. Bleed 'em dry. PLUS give us two or three players. AND Bale.

THEN tell 'em to feck off.

Alternatively, it could pay off all outstanding stadium related debts, freeing up every single penny of income for re-investment. Think about that, match days, tv, stadium sponsorship, shirt sponsorship, partnerships, competition winnings (you don't have to win the PL to make millions)
All the while we have an extremely valuable asset (The stadium) to borrow against should we need to.

I can't believe there's actually a debate on whether we should sell a single player for £1b.

They'd sell the whole fucking club for £1b.
Harry is priceless, he is the best striker in the world. Look at how much trouble we've had getting a back up striker.

We have a World class player
who has pledged his future to the club
just won the ballon d'or at his first world Cup
and we sell him?
Then people go on about lack of loyalty these days.

An interesting conundrum. Firstly, I think its click bait and, therefore, should be ignored. I also think HK has been a Godsend to the club and should remain for as long as we can keep him.

However, bearing in mind it's late and I've had a few, it's an interesting question. HK is a prolific striker and is very much improving. However, without actually checking the stats, my impression is that when he is injured our forward line is more mobile and has been prolific in their goals scored.

Harry is a focal point in terms of looking to score goals and for defenders to mark. The consequence was that in the WC he dropped into the AM role with Stirling (FFS!) running on to score .... nothing! So the question is, with the sale of HK to RM, could we put together an even more mobile attacking line up that would be more effective.

I agree we should be keeping him at all costs in reality, but biglad ffs come on £1B. Do you know how much money that is?

Daily Express. Oh dear.

I didn’t look at the story, but is Princess Diana or “ scientists say we’re going to have the coldest winter for years” mentioned by any chance?

It’s a really odd publication.

You’d have to think it’s bollocks though.

Of course but you have to look beyond that. If we get one billion we can afford the transfer fee but we would also have to completely smash up the wage structure of the club. We would probably end up loaning out all our youngsters out like Chelsea do. When the money eventually runs out and it will, what then?

Yes.

Next question?
