Woodward looks at share price when making a decision. Sacking mourinho increased the value of ut by $300m in one day. Signing bale might seem worth it to him.

Just can't see Bale happy to.play in Europa league and do the Thursday flights to middle of no where! It will be a team in CL he will go to as he is that good and in control

Winks and Skipp could really learn tons from training and playing with Luka. Very unlikely to happen but I can see some benefits from it.
I agree but he would be a very expensive coach....we need fresh, young meat.

Has zidane been told by the higher ups not to pick bale and drive him out. He said today that if he had a 4th sub he still would have not brought on bale. He said he doesn't fit in to his team.
It's quite incredible how far Zidane is going to force Bale out of the club. Treating him this badly in the press is as likely to cause Bale to stick two fingers up at them and stay to wind down his contract as it is to make him want to leave.

Gareth Bale: Staying at Real Madrid impossible - ex-president Calderon - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48330478

So Zidane wanted to sell Bale and keep Ronaldo.....this must have been a problem addressed by RM before he agreed to come back as manager.... Bale will go for peanuts if they really want rid....They have to show no one is bigger than the club and be allowed to draw a salary for doing nothing.

Bale will get a massive pay off. He isn't asking to leave, he will make them pay him to go.

What would happen if they found someone who would pay his wages (£26m a year) if he could be bought for say £22m nominal fee ??..total outlay £100m..they might just bite the bullet to spite him.....

Madrid are going to need transfer funds to buy all the players they want to get great again. Plus bale isn't going to want to go anywhere. Quite a few teams would pay 600k a week to bale if they could get him for 1 million.

They can't force him out. He has to sign a contract agreeing to the move.

He'll probably end up at a club he wants to join with Madrid paying half of his wages.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this does reach an amicable solution. Personally I think he'll end up in Germany playing....too young and ambitious to seek wealth overseas in say China or USA just yet.

Bale would still have to agree to go, this isan't slavery as much as C.Ronaldo thinks it is

Thought all superstar signings were on big wages. I was wrong.

I tried to look it up. Zlatan is on the biggest contract in MLS history and I think he gets around 145-150k dollars/week. Compared to Europe that's not a lot.
