Lloris 7 - ok

Trip 5 - no deadly mistakes but where has his crossing gone?

Jan 8 - did well against Salah

Toby 7 - ok

Rose 8 - along with Verts kept Salah and TA quiet and confident on the ball.

Sissoko 6 - been immense all year, had a poor game today. With what happened to Rose against City keep your arms down in the box. Soft Pen but should know better

Winks 8 - brilliant, if our team is due a refresh for the new project this guy should be central to our team.

Dele 6 - tried to make things happen, had the quality but seems to back away mentally.

Eriksen 4 - poor, poor game actually pissed me off.

Son 6 -couldnt get on the ball enough when he did made things happen. Is it his fault? Or the way we were set up?

Kane 4 - Pretty shit to like Eriksen absolutely awful and pissed me off. Both him and Eriksen should have been hauled off ahead of Winks and Dele. Understand why Poch started him, but no idea why he stayed on. Should back out of England squad and get fit.

So proud of the club, but we need to sort out our mentality, why do we keep missing out in Semis and Finals? It happens too much!

Anyway COYS ?

Has to be said, I’d actively try and sell Eriksen this summer.

There’s no doubting his quality, but it’s appearing less and less and in games where he needs to stand up and be counted, he’s anonymous.

He’s a luxury player and does not suit our style of football. He’s weak and he’s a complete wimp.

If selling him means we use his fee to sign Lo Celso and Ndombele, then do it.

Have to agree. Love what he offers on his day, but if someone offers us £70-80m, good. He isn’t signing a new contract and he lacks the mentality we need.

Hooking Winks was not the answer. He was the lynchpin in midfield.

Winks was slightly edged by Rose, who was balls out all game.

Kane wasn’t fit. So disappointed in Eriksen, Alli and Son. All three were guilty of panicking at crucial moments, making wrong choices and pissing away opportunities. We needed more from our match winners.
Right decision imo. Winks is neat and tidy and helped evade their press. We bossed the midfield, but had no shots. For us, the ball wasn't getting past the half way line. And Winks helped slow the game to a AVB style crawl.

We have to be grateful for the pain he went through to be fit for this game, but it worries me that he will be the main passer if/when Eriksen leaves. He doesn't create anything.

So many comments heard walking away from WHL that they are fed up with dele. Have to agree. Not half the player that joined us.
At times tonight it looked like our back 4 against the rest.

He's had a disruptive season to be fair, injuries and world cup.
He'll know his stats this season are nowhere near what he's capable of

We played much better, higher tempo and actually created chances when Winks got subbed and Eriksen moved to CM. We should have done that way earlier when it became clear that Liverpool had no interest in pressing or having the ball. They sat deep and tried to hit us on the break.

The only thing Winks did in midfield was passing it sideways and slowing the game down to a pedestrian tempo. He had one good run all game and completely failed when he got the ball. Dude was just hanging out in the middle of the pitch doing absolutely nothing with the ball.

He is not the only one, but he definitely is one of the reasons why our passing game had the tempo of a grandma.

We needed a goal and it was absolutely the correct decision to take out Winks.

We didn't turn up.

Defensively we we very good, the whole defence including trippier were very good. I voted Rose due to his verve, willingness, tenacity as well as his play. It was very hard to see players tonight that wanted it. He was one Sissoko another though not to the dame degree. It's weird that our most gifted players seem to get overshadowed in big games by these 2, who for the want of a better phrase... Technically inferior.

Seemed weird that poch selected to play eriksen as the 10/RWF hybrid, and Alli in the left spot of the 3,which he done for most of the season.. But not tonight. Eriksen is improved in many areas playing this. It made no sense to switch the 2.

Kane....ummm. Anonymous. Moura should of played. Deserved to. The subs didn't make sense either. Kane should of been subbed on performance. Winksy was one that showed endeavour and we suffered when he left.

This game was crying out for lamela. Well his effort, belief and endeavour anyway.

I'm. More disappointed we didn't turn up. We didn't go for it. Where was the urgency of the last few moments against barca, against Ajax.. Against city???.

Thay being said we were incredibly unlucky with pen. I don't think it was. Looked like sane intended to hit his arm and did. I also think we were the better side. Truth is they were there for the taking. And we didn't.

One last thing...I know people can't wait the slate Harry Kane he wasn't fit we play better without him blah blah blah all rubbish. I reckon many of the players will have regrets about their performances.
I don't think we all want to slate Harry Kane. We were disappointed that he was chosen to start the game when he clearly wasn't match fit that is not the same as slating him. Moura merited selection ahead of him, I'm not going to slate him, it's not his fault he is not match foot, he had a place in the game, we should have rolled the dice by bringing him on for the last 30 mins. I'm not gonna slag off Poch either, as he has done a fantastic job for us, but he had a big decision tonight and he made the wrong call and perhaps bowed to the reputation Kane has rather than the true objectivity of whether he was match fit enough to start and play the whole 90 mins.

This team is close to being labelled with the nearly men tag. A really disappointing game. And I guess the 'what could have been's' will be discussed for months.

After all the talk of playing to win in Madrid it looked really hollow out there. We didnt show up at the races did we? Maybe it was the heat but we lacked urgency and desire.

I think Poch made a big mistake in not starting Moura. Kane did nothing of note and our forward line looked static for so much of the time. Something he will regret. Plus his in game management was poor.

Absolutely shite performances from Dele and Eriksen as well so creatively the well seemed to run dry before they left the changing rooms.

Winks and the back four the only real credible players who performed to their reputations. The rest didnt deserve it.

Its a cruel world but if you dont turn up and challenge there is no prize.

the match was decided on 2 errors in my eyes. yes Sissoko shouldn't of had his arm up as high, but that all cannoned onto his chest and down his arm. the direction of the ball at the time wasn't ever going to prevent Liverpool a scoring chance.

the other error was Lloris not signalling to Rose to leave the ball and let it go out, or Rose for not listening.

the quality from both teams tonight was pretty poor. I still think it was a mistake to start with Kane, and to be honest not sure I could name our man of the match, perhaps Winks made less misplaced passes. I feel empty not just with hurt

Alli was shocking so wasteful. Needs to get back to keeping it simple. So many tricks tried and simple passes overhit.

That same myth was probably instrumental in Mouras two goals v Ajax to get us to the final. He is a great player on his day, he just didnt turn up for this one.

I wouldn’t have started Kane as he’s proven to be well off the pace when he rushes back from injury. But the player who should have made way for Moura was Alli who hasn’t had a good game since he come back from injury - he’s had a lackluster season overall due to World Cup fatigue and injuries. This could have allowed Kane to drop deeper and play in balls to Son and Moura running in behind.
Overall the defense played well helped by the fact Liverpool were gifted an early goal (sorry but can’t see how that can be handball/penalty, it hit his chest/armpit and therefore made no difference if his arm was out or by his side) and thereafter didn’t attacking with any menace but the front 4 were all poor and didn’t threaten their defense. Too many poor decisions. We had 2 or 3 occasions of 3 against 3 (one of them 4 against 3) and didn’t manage to create a scoring opportunity. Very poor. Given all the possession we had Eriksen especially let himself down. For his free kick I thought he might try to go near post. Allison was set up expecting far post.
We might all be very disappointed but the players will be more so as they know they made it to the biggest game of their career and they didn’t leave everything out on the pitch. This performance more so than the result will haunt some of them.

He needs to be a lot closer to Kane to be the player that joined us.

He was match fit just didn't get the service far to many long balls...yeah I agree Moura should of started but so to Kane he also got us here.
