Very hard game against a very resolute Leicester who really came here to win. But we too are resolute and with us also having to play a game against Michael Oliver should be either sanctioned or sectioned, again we rose and got our just desserts.

A lot of credit to Rose, Winks, Sissoko, Sanchez and Son. Some may say Eriksen as well where I would not argue, but despite his goal and his assist, he still is not firing on all cylinders as far as I am concerned.

Anyway my MOTM goes to our World Cup winning Captain Hugo Lloris, who put in a 10 rated performance as I cannot recall him doing anything wrong.

Lloris. I don't think we would've won if he hadn't saved the penalty. Eriksen did well with a goal and assist. Also think Sissoko played well and assisted for Son's goal.

Off topic, but that was such a shambolic performance from the referee. We were poor but his decisions made it even harder.

Lloris did brilliantly to save the penalty but really all his other saves including the Harvey Barnes shot, he should be saving.

Sanchez was quality and so was winks but Sissoko for me was immense.

He was the stand out player for us.

Winks and Sissoko were everywhere, Eriksen needed that goal, Lloris needed that game and despite Llorente being hit and miss he got another assist.

Albatross - Lloris
Eagle - Sissoko
Birdie - Winks, Sanchez
Par - Eriksen, Son, Vertonghen, Rose
Bogey - Skipp
Double Bogey - Trippier, Llorente

Eriksen had an assist and a goal but he wasnt very good tonight, as was Sonny.

Hugo must have stopped drinking he was 100% today. We showed alot of discipline today not to crumble under the pressure that Leicester started to put on and for not losing our heads when the decisions were not going our way. COYS.

Lloris Motm.
I'd only question why he kept punting the ball when we had Son and Eriksen up front.
That was tactically poor.
Sissoko played the ball of the match for the 3rd.

Don't think Llorente was thaaat bad - We all know he's limited but his hold up play was a bit better and he grabbed a good assist.

Also, Eriksen was better than par imo. Clutch goal and a cracking ball for the assist. He's not controlling games as he should be but Winks is filling that role nicely atm so can't be too harsh on him.

Think most normal people will give the MotM to Erikesen, 1 goal, 1 assist.

But Lloris was massive for us. He looked so commanding tonight for us at the back. Today, he reminds us why he is captain and no.1 for us.

Weird game as quite a few played well sissoko and winks especially but as a whole we didn’t. Sorry to say that Skipp just isn’t ready offered very little.

If Llorente gets a new contract it would be a total disgrace. He did well on setting up the Eriksen goal but totally bullied by Evans and McGuire

Lloris made the key match winning contributions, so he was MOTM. But Winks is a gem of a player and a key player for us now.

Skipp and Llorente were quite poor, so it was hard to dominate when they were off the pace and Oliver being anti-Spurs.

But the problems of our own making were many today, especially a complacency that seemed to come from Poch as much as on the field. We rode our luck to get to 2-0, and then played pointless possession approach, which is a dead tactic in this day and age. Ambling sideways possession doesn't provide you with control, it leaves you open to the quick high counter-attack that is difficult to defend against. We shouldn't do it for tactical reasons as much as aesthetic ones.

Fair play to Leicester they played well and could and should have scored a few more today, but for the most part, we managed the game really well with all things considered.

We are showing a level of consistency and tenacity I am not used to and it's an absolute joy.

Keep this manager and team together and the future is very bright indeed.

Oh and the referee was very poor.
