Ramos' first team selection

Who do you think Ramos will pick for his first game in charge, I would love to see Steed in a more central midfield role; where he should be.

It will be intresting as normally you would play some not so regular player, for example Bent, Defoe, KPB, Stalteri etc... against Blackpool. but being his first game and all and with the confidence of the team at an all time low it will be hard for the new man to pick anything other than his best team, or not...

I like that teamselection. I think that Ramos likes quick movements with the ball, and all the players (except Dawson) do have quick feet in that line up. I also hope that Prince Boateng will be in connection.

sevilla were going for boateng so im guessing ramos is well aware of him and might bring him more into the team , the only thing is that was boateng a choice of going for by ramos or the sevilla sporting director

If you're going to play Steed in central midfield, drop Zzzzokora and play Keane just behind the front two, Defoe & Berbatov.

Why? we have a chance of keeping a clean sheet, why should we jeopardise that to accomodate another striker when scoring isn't the problem?

Swap Lennon for Malbranque, then move Lennon just behind the two strikers. Then move Zokora to a more Defensive central midfield position.

Did we sign KPB after the whole Ramos/hotel scandal? Sevilla seemed to drop out of the running very quickly and we seemed to step up our interest. Maybe he was a Ramos signing all along, or he was signed with the idea of Ramos being in charge.

It could be a similar situation to when Jol took over from Santini. Carrick had hardly played, Jol liked him, picked him and our season turned around. Don't forget we lost 6 games in a row at that point, but a new manager, new ideas can quickly change things.

It seems fairly clear that Ramos is a fan of Boateng so we'll see if he introduces him or not. I think it may still be a bit soon to introduce him into the team though.

I'd love to see Malbranque in the middle on Wednesday and I think that would mean Zokora would have to play. I actually quite like the team that the first poster put up, but Taarabt won't play. Quite who does play on the left I don't know.

oh please - anyone with eyes will tell you dawson's not really the problem - the problem is that kaboul keeps thinking he's an attacker and fucking off up-field leaving dawson on his todd.

i'm confident that kaboul and dawson can play together if kaboul remembers that he's a centre back and not a midfielder.

I would love to see KPB play, we paid £5mill for this guy and he has played once away in Cyprus out of position. What did worry me was listening to a German correspondent on the Guardian podcast who really questioned KPB's attitude saying because he comes from the 'ghetto' he loves a bit of the night life. Hopefully under Juande he gets his head down and gets a chance.

I don't see Malbranque playing centrally (well he normally does when he should be on the left) under Ramos, he just doesn't seem to fit the profile of what Ramos supposedly likes. I agree it may be too early for KPB, but who can say, we've hardly seen the guy and don't forget we are playing Blackpool.

i do not know if ramos would know much about KPB as the DOF would surely have signed him, and whilst thesy were said to have a good relationship it maybe that KPB was a DOF signing?

I feel Jaunde will play the players that have got us into this mess, to give them the chance to show if they can improve.

The other team who wanted KPB was Sevilla so I think it's safe to say that Ramos rates him. Whether he rates him as a player for now or for the future is a different issue.
