This does improve our situation. We all thought Utd were dead guaranteed to finish on 71 points, which would have meant we had to draw against Everton at least. Arsenal’s final game is very tough however, so in theory we can now lose the last game and slither through, which we would not have been able to do if Utd won.
It’s fairly shameful however if we have to rely on the shittiness of others to ensure our qualification.
At this point, I don't care.

But in some ways I think it would do the club good to finish in the Europa League places. We need a wake up call big time when it comes to recruitment.

United are in a mess but at least they know they have a problem. We're still in denial about ours and I think us missing out on the CL might have opened eyes a bit to our lack of ambition in the transfer window.

I think we're in danger of thinking this season has been a success. Given the circumstances, Pochettino has done well. But imo we've been declining for a couple of years now especially with regards to the quality of the football on show.

All these Arsenal permutations, what will hapen is that we'll draw with Everton and Chelsea will lose to Leicester.:)

C
Levy best have rung up Chrissy and offered him a Bentley if they take points off the scum.

CCV and KWP on loan next season if they draw today.

Can someone change this title to 'Limp' for top 4, cos this is not a race...

Speak for yourself.... There has been so many twists and there's more to come. I still have us down for 3rd. Arsenal and Chsea have that El semi to worry about. It's not dead and buried. We just need to lift our boys next week. Sing our hearts out and be the 12th man for them.

I'd actually take a 1-0 Arsenal in this game. It's the goal difference i'm worried about now Brighton are safe. Last thing we need is them banging in 4 or 5 without reply. Would give us little room for manoeuvre if we are beaten by Everton. If they got close to us on GD then we are no longer afforded the luxury of them being able to draw at Burnley no matter our result.

Get what you're saying. But still think I'd take a Brighton 1-0 win as opposed to a Arsenal 1-0 win.

No way in hell will Brighton get a result. They're on the fucking beach.

I’m putting my hopes on Burnley as, like you, I don’t expect Brighton to get anything, however the fact there’s no pressure on them might work in our favour. I’m clutching I know.

Conceivably we could lose on the final day and still finish fourth now.

Wouldn't surprise me if that's how it plays out ?
