Here's my prediction for the week ahead....

1. On wednesday, we'll get a goal early and the game will go into extra time. We'll lose on penalties and our players will be absolutely shattered (both mentally and physically)

2. We'll lose our final game of the season with most players having nothing left in the tank

Arsenal fans will sing that cringeworthy uefa cup song after the final whistle at burnley.
Sounds about right.

The club's got cash. The club's got so much cash, they don't know what to do with it. In fact, they've got enough cash that if you sold all the club's assets and paid of all the debt in one foul swoop, you'd have cash left to buy Lionel Messi. It's a shit solid club with finances that corporations dream of.
It is obvious that the club has got much cash. But also, the club has a debt, huge debt. I have no idea how to liquidate this debt without selling the assets and with investing all this this cash into the squad. This is my concern.

I'm still in disbelief about earlier. Honestly can't get over it.

My feelings are a strange mixture of disbelief and resignation. Like I'm shocked, but not surprised, if that makes sense. Cant believe it happened at the time but sort of expected it. I guess that's part of being a Spurs fan lol.

Yep. I'm numb to it, we've been so poor for so long bar the CL against City.

I just can't understand why Poch let's them come out and start games they way we have been. Not just start, but all of the first half normally.

It's like we're playing in a coma at times, and we only react when we go behind a lot of the time.

For me the problem is we've stopped starting games coming fkying out of the traps, which sets the tone for the game.

We stopped doing that a long time ago. Would love to know why Poch hasn't addressed that.

I honestly don't remember the last time I was this affected on an emotional and psychological level by a sporting event. I've done absolutely nothing since the end of the game other than stew in anguish. It's genuinely making me question my relationship with Spurs and whether I ought to make a conscious effort to step away and find some healthier use of my time.

I get what you're saying mate. Maybe Poch has tried but the squad doesn't it have it in them any longer. The ones that aren't injured are probably mentally as well as physically exhausted. But perhaps more importantly, due to the lack of signings last summer, things have just gone stale. With no competition for their places, players get complacent and maybe don't put as much effort in.

Yes, this is a key point for me too! Very strange that this has gone on for so long. It’s so obvious that we put ourselves in difficult positions because of our approach!

The pressing game from a few years back is totally gone these days. Wonder if it’s because Poch wants us to play differently or he feels we lack the types to play it out with success?

For me mate it started away to Burnley nearly 3 months ago. That wasn't tiredness, it was turning up expecting too win.

I remember watching it and thinking this is not a team playing like they're in a title race.

It's been going on ever since.

I think there is a colleration with some late winners and finishing strong, but generally I think we've set a poor tone from kick off for way too long now.

One thing for sure...Poch and the team owe every single fan the performance of a lifetime on Sunday against Everton. Anything less is unacceptable after recent league displays/results.

Selling Dembele in January purely for greedy financial gains over the balance and strength of the squad, then not replacing him is one of the most disgraceful things to have come out of this season.

With Winks fucked, we’ve not got a single player capable of holding the ball in midfield. I’m absolutely certain we would’ve picked up more points with Dembele in the team, but clearly that £11m was worth it. Wasn’t it?

By the way, what is the difference in prize money between 3rd place and 6th place? I’d hazard a guess it’s more than £11m.

Wankers.
Said exactly this a couple of weeks ago and got told he was broken and couldn’t play in the EPL any more.
Still can’t believe Poch allowed him to go, or did he?

Surely we can attempt to appeal the son red card so he can play against Everton and miss the first 3 games next season?

I honesty can’t see us having a chance beating Everton without him.

Still the bookies favourites. Still wouldn’t swap our position with any of the others. Arsenal away to Burnley. Chelsea away to Leicester both off back of a Thursday night. And United still 5 pts off us with worse goal difference.

At the same time the fans need to get behind the team for 90mins too. The atmosphere has been tense and snarky the last couple of games. We need relentless singing to push them over the line.

Does it work like that? No brainer if so.

Yeah we know how to add tension to the team that's for sure.

I posted something similar in another thread and, in a way, it's nice to see I'm not alone. Spurs this season has taken a tremendous toll on my mental health - more so than any other point in my life - and it's gotten to the point where I'm genuinely thinking about walking away. I will always love Spurs, but my happiness should not be held captive to the outcome of a sporting event I've got no control over.

You know it

Even today - we couldn’t pull a draw out of bag.

We also didn’t concede early on after second sending off, had to be in injury time - joke. One kick after another
