Players have let us down massively, if we dont get top 4 rebuild the whole squad & keep the ones that want to actually be there !

It's worse than that. I genuinely believe that if we fail to qualify for Champion's League football next year, we won't see it again for a few years at least. Allowing Arsenal or Chelsea to get the drop on us and qualify instead of us has just seriously weakened our ability to get the required players in for next season, irrespective of how much money the sales of Eriksen and Alderweireld brings in. And of course it strengthens their position to get better players in to extend the gap over us.

It's a complete and utter clusterfuck.

Mate, we don’t buy anyone when we have champions league. It’s made no difference at all to our incomings imo

It’s typical Tottenham to go from on the brink of something special to the most laughable failure which sees manager gone and falling back to very much 6th best.

Gone completely to pot since Burnley and that c*** Mike Dean.

Was he to blame for Southampton, West Ham, today? Not having a shot on goal against Chelsea? If finishing outside the top 4 is dependant on a game 2 months ago then this team needs a major purge

Our net spend is zero with CL money because of the stadium. If we don't make it, you can expect Eriksen to go without the money being reinvested to make up for the lost revenue.

The five stages, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are a part of the framework that makes up our learning to live with the one we lost.

Everyone hurry. I have just arrived at the acceptance stage now.

Finishing outside top 4 might not be the end of the world for us, its not like we have used the money in the competition to bring in top quality players. If anything, it might be the kick up the backside the senior management at the club need.

As Pochetino said, we have a new house but it needs new furniture to match the quality of the house.(not exact quote but more or less the same thing).

Regarding the race for top 4, a draw against everton looks unlikely, never mind a win :(

Only silver lining is that Levy and Lewis will be upset. Not strengthening the squad has been criminal.

I don't know what's worse, today's defeat or the thought of getting turned over by a Marko Silva team next weekend.

Honestly not too concerned about the gooners and chavs. Gooners don't seem to have the cash and the chavs will probably have a transfer ban and lose Hazard. I'd be more worried about Leciester, wolves and Everton closing the gap

One of either Levy or Poch is to blame and I’m not sure who for that joke of a transfer window. Idiots the pit of them.

That’s why there was uproar.

You need a pass of players through the squad - everyone knows this

I fully expect Eriksen to go. I’ve actually wondered if he had physically left months ago anyway. I do not expect us to sign anyone near his quality with champions league or without it.

Anyone expecting any significant purchases and big increase in quality of the side will be hugely disappointed. ENIC have never really done it. It is what it is imo.

People saying we need champions league etc, it’s not actually going to make any difference to the side in terms of quality. It’ll make a huge difference to us as fans and especially to attendances in the new big shiny gaff though!

Shades of the end of the 15/16 season here...only needed 3 points from our last 4 games to finish above the scum, got 2 with an almighty capitulation to a 10-man relegated Newcastle on the last day...this time we need 3 points from our last 3 games to confirm top 4, I think we all know what’s coming - deja vu comes to mind.

Obviously that season it was the title disappointment which ultimately killed us, this time it’s injuries & fatigue...we just love an end of season fuck up ? same old Tottenham.

Levy will do the usual if we're not careful. And that is take it out on the manager. Redknapp finished 4th and was fired. That same season we genuinely could have won the league if we'd gambled in the January transfer window but instead we didn't bother, just like we didn't invest the Champion's League money from Redknapp's era into the team either.
