I love the way we won tonight. It's the kind of win that would really deflate the other 3 watching. It really puts the pressure on those around us now. If that was one of the other 3 scoring that late goal I'd be so pissed off so it's nice to think they're feeling that way tonight.

That is a huge win. Really felt like it wasn't going to happen!

Possibly even more painful for Arsenal and Chelsea fans looking on too, beautiful. Nothing quite like a late winner against an anti football side!

If man Utd and Chelsea draw we would only need another 4 points for top 4.

Prior to Arsenal losing to Palace I had that Palace game and Brighton home as being a definite 6 points. Well, they’ve already dropped 3 against Palace and now, after watching tonight’s game, I’m not so sure they’re guaranteed 3 points against Brighton.

There’s absolutely no way they get 9 points out of Wolves, Leicester and Burnley away. I’ll be surprised if they get 7.

Exactly what I thought watching it, same last night... just thought Chelsea would score. Been in that position watching other teams so much and being pissed off.
Great it was us getting that goal and Arsenal and Chelsea doing the opposite

I really think 1 Win will do it. 2 will be absolutely sure

Great credit to the team tonight. A lot of frustration on the forum during the match but it is so hard to always find that sharpness needed to penetrate these well drilled defences and a team playing for their own team's survival.Sheer effort and team spirit with a touch of brilliance from a true quality match winner enough to get us home. . These games are so tough especially after the City game in the heat at the weekend. At least we now have 3 clear days ' rest'. Would be so good to see a couple back for selection for Saturday but the silence is worrying.
Totally different games coming up now. West Ham and Bournemouth both very lively going forward. I think we are all particularly worried about Saturday especially with the CL on Tuesday. Hoping for other results to go our way (again) tomorrow)

So if united lose tmrw and beat Chelsea Sunday we would only need 3 more points to guarantee top 4 (assuming no bizarre GD swing).
Obviously we want 3rd but that scenario could relieve a lot of pressure.

I'm more interested in finishing 3rd. I think 4th should be a worse case scenario. The thought of finishing top 3 for the 4th season is just too good. We should aim for 3rd really, even if we turn our priority to the Champions League after Saturday we should still have enough to get results in the last 2 games.

We shouldn't underestimate the impact that injuries, lack of squad depth and the world cup has had on us. I think of games like wolves at home, the scum away, Chelsea away in both games, city away, Burnley away, these have been games where being unable to bring in fresh players has impacted us.

We really are very very close to challenging for the title. Poch has evolved tactically this year and given a good summer to prepare and some new players, I really believe we will challenge next year.

There is no guarantee that if we had bought players it would of made the slightest of difference, just because someone signs it doesn’t mean them or someone else won’t be injured

Sure, but when we sold our best CM and were left with Sissoko, a sick Dier, and two players with consistent injury problems in Winks and Wanyama, you could argue it was borderline negligent to not at least get someone in on loan.

If Sissoko hadn't stepped up this season or Winks had got crocked we would've been utterly screwed. Even now the fact that Wanyama is getting fit at just the right time is pretty miraculous.

Incentive for Wolves to go 7th tomorrow night.

Incentive for Leicester to potentially go 7th at the weekend.

I really can't see goons getting maximum points.

I honestly think 4 points will be enough.

I think the difference is that the rest of the teams we have to play are unlikely going to stick 10/11 men behind the ball and pray for a point.
Everton are the only opponent that still have something to play for. No point in any of them parking the bus except to be twats.

What an amazing week.

Can we expect Wolves to take points off Arsenal tomorrow

Optimistic and funny this post at your peril! :D
I don't expect it... but I do think Wolves will get something from the match.

If we win two of the final three, I think we should be pretty comfortably in the top 4 and probably good for third.

I guess we'll see the following:

3rd - Spurs (76 points) assuming one shitty defeat (please not at home to West Ham)
4th - Arsenal (74 points) 2 away draws and 2 home wins.
5th - Chelsea (74 points) a draw against United and two wins. Behind Arsenal on Goal difference.
6th - Man United (71 points) lose to City, draw against Chelsea, two wins.

Realistic, right?

Oh, and we'll win the CL.

Aresenal have three away games and one at home and no Ramsey who has been their best player this season. I personally believe (and strongly hope) they will struggle to get 74 points.

Anyway, fuck them, let’s do our business early and focus on the CL. COYFS

Although they might not come the final game

But your point still stands; I doubt they'll park the bus in a dead rubber on the final game of the season
