A more motivated team than under the last years of Wenger

We'll see, still reckon it's not as black and white, they're totally a different animal when they're at home compared to away where they condede 2 goals a game on avg, the stats support that.

If we only could move into the new stadium a month earlier, the adrenalin surge would have carried us through that difficult period.

It takes a 'perfect storm' scenario for me to want City to win anything. This season is that perfect storm.

Think I'd rather City won the league than any team bar us.

Don't know many City fans, and the money they've spent makes it hollow - any of the London clubs/Liverpool and we'd never hear the end of it.

Exactly, look at their last few home games - Cardiff, Bournemouth, Southampton, United and Newcastle. 4 games they should be winning and 1 difficult one that they need to be winning. Their only away games in that time were City (lost) Huddersfield (gimme) and us (who were struggling). They were always going to pick up points from that run. Now comes the hard part.

Unpopular opinion alert but I couldn't give a stuff if Arsenal finish above us as long as we make CL.

Obviously prefer it if we finish 3rd but I just reckon the true indication of where both Club's list lies is in the gap we established before this whole shitstorm of an injury crisis / no home stadium / no signings finally caught up with us. All we need to focus on right now is making sure we qualify for CL. Bragging right abut North London finishing positions come a distant second.

Arsenal are nowhere near the finished article, but come on they've gone about their business fairly steadily on the quiet as the season has gone on under a new manager (who was getting hammered already in the autumn). Still in the hunt for top four and last eight of the Europa. I don't think it's a given they fall away, which is the vibe I am getting from many of our fans.

I think all four teams in the mix look quite fragile - can put some wins together of course but also well capable of killing their chances with a bad two/three games before the season wraps. Us as much as any of the others, home games/new stadium or not. We shall see what happens.

We ned to finish 3rd. I would hate to finish in 4th this season with the way things are going in the CL and the EL. there will be a possibility of 3 English teams in the CL semis and Chelsea and Arsenal both look capable in the Europa to go all the way.
Could end up with 6 teams in with the chance of CL next season and us finishing 4th would really be shit.
Unless we are the ones to win the CL this year of course.
Never say never.

United are not going win the CL, so don’t worry bout it.

I don't think it's unpopular at all, chap. I think you're in the majority if the choice is between qualifying for the CL behind Arse and not qualifying at all.

There's no doubt we've had more to contend with though, especially the saga of no true home advantage for so long.

Arsenal do have some tough away games and we have the new stadium bounce.

I'll be really surprised if they finish above us but we'll see. I'm betting we finish were we've been for most of the season - 3rd.
