8 and 10 is if we draw, as I'm sure you know. I went with that as I see tomorrow as more of a 'must not lose' rather than 'must win'.Don't you mean 10 ahead of Arsenal and 13 United?

Sure, I'm with you. I guess I am only thinking about winning to keep in distance of the top.8 and 10 is if we draw, as I'm sure you know. I went with that as I see tomorrow as more of a 'must not lose' rather than 'must win'.
It means, no matter what, we're still a minimum of 7 points clear of Arsenal and 5th place.although west ham result is nice, it means very little if we don't capitalize on it tomorrow..
So even if we lose we are 7 points ahead of 5th??It means, no matter what, we're still a minimum of 7 points clear of Arsenal and 5th place.
Huh?So even if we lose we are 7 points ahead of 5th??
Did I read your post correctly?
Did you see your original post I quoted?Huh?
Yes, I was the one who typed it?Did you see your original post I quoted?
I want to like this but I don't want to jinx things. If we beat United, I feel that's top4 secured for us. So naturally I'm expecting anxious short passing round the back between LLoris, Vert and Davies.
Importantly it also means that if the title doesn't look like happening we could perhaps properly try for a cup or three.
I think we're looking a bit too far ahead really. It's perfectly conceivable that we'll be eight or nine points behind by tomorrow evening, at which point it's very unlikely indeed. Just if we do happen to reach, say, the time of the Dortmund tie and hopefully the LC final while 9 points behind Liverpool and 9 ahead of 5th, I'd like to see us priortise the cups for a change.I think we could still be in the race till at least the beginning of March because after Utd we have Fulham (a), Watford (h), Newcastle (h), Leicester (h), Burnley (a) before Chelsea (a) at the end of Feb. The Burnley match may move should we reach the Carabao final. We also have Dortmund (h) after Leicester.
I think we'll beat Palace in the FA Cup so need to get past Dortmund to remain in CL and we can then take stock after the 1st week of March (have Arse on 2nd March, then Dortmund and S'ton).
So why "huh"?Yes, I was the one who typed it?
I don't understand the point you're trying to make.So why "huh"?
Just for @LegacyIt means, no matter what, we're still a minimum of 7 points clear of Arsenal and 5th place.
And what is wrong with that comment?Just for @Legacy
Nothing wrong. I was just asking as I was not sure. And what is wrong with that comment?
Good God, man! Do you realise how many times I've looked at the league table to see if I'm actually stupid or not?!?!Nothing wrong. I was just asking as I was not sure.
I think there is a miscommunication between us.
I am in Australia having a couple (or more) of beers so had not been able to check table.Good God, man! Do you realise how many times I've looked at the league table to see if I'm actually stupid or not?!?!
