Agree with most of that, but not this bit. They have the biggest finances and pulling power out of our top four rivals regardless.

Don’t want any of them in the CL, but I think it would harm Arsenal and Chelsea more to miss out.

Great players as in Godin, Koulibaly who have turned them down before. I think their situation is even worse now.

We need a big 10 days. 3 home games and we need 3 wins. Get those and I reckon that we will be very close to having the top 4 and a cl final place sorted.

We are more than capable of getting those wins and in fact I strongly suspect that we will.

Imagine that! What a season we will have had.

If we play with energy and intensity and are not in any way complacent we should win the next 2 games and that should be almost enough.

After the Cardiff result, Brighton don't need to go gung-ho but just need a point - so the usual 10 men behind the ball, with the goalie wasting time from the first minute - score early and we should win out comfortably.

We know how the west ham game will go - it will be really hard fought. I would assume our boys are prepared for a dog fight.

A good weekend, even with our loss but could have been better if Michael Oliver wasn't such *&*^%g chickenshit and given the penalty for the handball he MUST have seen.

will be a huge psychological advantage to go into the Ajax games knowing the CL qualification is not at stake.

Lets not screw this up now..........COYS!!

he could of also given City a penalty for Jan on Silva. the Eriksen challenge would only of been slightly considered if Eriksen went over early enough

One day on, and I am still buzzing after the Arsenal vs Palace result. What an Easter weekend!
It seems evident now that Utd are not going to threaten us and Arsenal dropping three points with some tricky away games bodes well too, providing we maintain our focus and win our remaining games.

Ideally, I hope City slap Utd, Arsenal drop points at Wolves and Utd actually turn up against Chelsea and either draw or beat them. That, and us beating Brighton and West Ham, would be a stunning week

I'm just loving the fact that it's in our own hands to finish above Arsenal (and Chelsea/Man Utd, but mainly Arsenal) again. I really thought that the dark gods were on their side when they got that jammy win at Watford, but the loss against Palace means that we only have to match their results during a run-in that see us play 3 at home and 1 away and them play 1 at home and 3 away, and so I'm now fairly confident that we'll finish above them and achieve one of my main goals of every season.

The CL adventure so far will hopefully be the cherry on top of a satisfying cake of finishing above Arsenal in the league for the third year in a row, and if we were to somehow defy all the odds and actually win the thing then to continue the cake analogy that would be like Alison Brie popping out of the cake in her skimpies ready to sing "Happy birthday, Mr President".

I read earlier that we’ve lost as many games this season as we did with Sherwood in charge, yet we’re 3rd and in the semis of the CL. Amusing stat.

Not a fan of ‘if only’s’ but.... If only we’d beaten Burnley and Southampton as we should’ve done, we could’ve rested lots of players for the semis, as top 4 would’ve been guaranteed by now. I’m sure our squad will cope for the last few games but an injury to Son etc could fuck us right up. We should be ok though. ?

If we were to cement 3rd, who would you want t finish 4th?

I feel dirty saying it, but I think I’d go for Chelsea - hear me out - they have a transfer ban so can’t add to the squad, they may still lose Hazard (prays!), Sarri will probably stay with his stubborn ways, so they will still have the same problems as this season but without their match winner. It could potentially do them more harm than good, their stock will fall and they’ll struggle in the league.

Arsenal need CL, as do Man Utd, to progress/claw back some ground. Missing out would do them more harm.

1 question, if Chelsea finish 4th, and beat Arsenal in the Europa final, with Arse finishing 5th, does an extra place go to them in CL?

Agree Chelsea would be best bet for 4th. To answer the question on Europa, no extra place unless the team finishing outside top 4 wins Europa as far as I'm aware
